AITAH for thinking my partner’s family is rude for always being late?

I grew up in a family where punctuality is important. If you're invited for a certain time, you show up on time - or, if you're running late, you let people know beforehand. That's just how I was raised, so it's always seemed like basic courtesy to me.
My partner's family is completely different.
For example, his aunt recently invited everyone over for lunch at 12:00 PM. We arrived right on time, only to sit there waiting. The rest of the family didn't start showing up until sometime after 12:30 PM. Nobody explained why they were late, and nobody apologized.
The thing is, this isn't a one-time occurrence. It's pretty much the norm with them. They're rarely less than 15 minutes late, and being 30+ minutes late without any notice isn't unusual. Whenever I bring it up, my boyfriend just shrugs and says, "That's just how they are."
I understand that different families have different habits and expectations, but to me it feels disrespectful to the people who made the effort to be on time. If everyone knows they're going to arrive half an hour late, why not simply set a later time or send a quick message?
My boyfriend thinks I'm being too rigid. I think it's common courtesy.
AITAH for feeling annoyed by this, or am I just old-fashioned?

Canon RF II Lens Dust Caps - New Gear!

Finally arrived today. £40 for 6 caps is money well spent - hopefully can recoup some money from selling the old ones.

This is such a quality of life improvement and works just like the old EF caps. The only issue I've noted is they screw on fine to lenses but seem a little loose when screwed onto the camera cap, which I didn't have with the original RF caps.

You can see the difference in the photos. Old one on the left and new one on the right.

If you ever have to put these on blind or you get frustrated with the current RF cap then I can't recommend these highly enough, though the question would be why weren't they like this from the start?

Hey there,

I’m a portrait photographer planning to offer live mini dog portrait sessions at a trade fair this summer and would love some workflow advice.

Concept:
• 10–15 minute sessions

• 1–3 final images per client

• Only basic edits (exposure, contrast, crop)

• Immediate selection and delivery (ideally including prints)

• Target: 4 sessions per hour

Gear:
• Canon EOS R6

• MacBook Pro + (older) iPad

• Tether Tools USB-C cable

• Canon Selphy CP1500 printer

Challenge: In my usual studio workflow, clients select their favorites later via an online gallery from home. That obviously won’t work here. I need a fast, streamlined on-site setup where clients can:
• View images immediately and select their favorites on the spot

• Receive their photos (print and/or digital) right away

What I’d love your input on:
• Reliable tethering workflows (R6 + Mac)

• Fast culling/selection setups clients can use themselves

• Print workflows that don’t slow things down

• Efficient options for instant digital delivery (AirDrop, QR, cloud, etc.)

If you’ve worked events, markets, or high-volume mini sessions, I’d really appreciate any tips, tools, or workflow ideas that help keep things fast and smooth.

Thanks in advance (and sorry for any weird formatting, I’m on mobile)

Saw this tree (these trees?) during my visit in Austria - can anybody explain how this happened and how they are both surviving like this?
