At what point do you decide to spend your Advantage Card points?

Hey folks, so I've amassed about £22 on my Advantage Card and I know there's people out there with like hundreds but it got me thinking, when will you ever use it?

I'm torn between knowing I've built up a high amount with actually spending it and saving money in the short term 💀

Missed an appointment (I never do this)

Hey everyone, so I've just been at the GP because I was convinced I had an appointment at 09:40 (turns out I was confusing my GP appointment with my sexual health appointment which was at 09:40 last Friday (I went to that)

Anyway I just feel so dumb and honestly I hate myself right now, the receptionist is normally really nice but she was so frosty and I totally get it but this NEVER happens I always make my NHS and dental appointments or I reschedule far in advance

Ugh I have the new appointment next week honestly I'm grateful like it's not really that pressing (it was to talk about a few little issues I've been having)

Anyway has this happened to anyone else? Where you miss an appointment cause you were convinced it was at a different time?? 😔

Question about distance from home to synagogue? UK Jews please weigh in

Hey folks, bit of a weird one here. So I live in north west London and if you know about London you'll know that, well, there is a Jewish community here but unless you happen to like, literally live in it, you're quite far away from it.

So anyway I live in Wembley Park, on the jubilee line a few stops down from St Johns Wood, where there's a big liberal synagogue. I have enquired about joining and it's only £50/a year or something, not sure if it increases as I age, but when I turn 31 in october, I'd have to pay £350 to sign up!! So I'm trying to do it within the next month 💀

Anyway so my real question is, is it weird that I'd be attending a synagogue further away from me than others? Like I know there's one 30 mins walk from me in Kenton but it's a tiny synagogue, this one is huge and has a big community and is technically easier to get to cause I just hop on the jubilee and be right there in 10 mins.

If any london Jews can weigh in here too that would be great 💙
