Works great on a handheld to pass between 2 people

I showed this playing on my little hand held a couple weeks ago and people where asking for the link to play it so here it is!

I wanted a simple snake game, but I always found the start of snake games too slow so I added a power up that acts like picking up 5 apples. All human coded except one bit where I got stuck which was coding how to make it be able to save the high scores to the cart.

I know its simple but it was a big deal to me to be able to make download and play a game I made. Great experience and will definitely be trying an original concept for my next simple game.

Learning to code and what a treat it was to put a little game I made on a little hand held.

It's basic but in addition to getting the game logic and controls working I added little 5point power ups, tweaked the speed increase curve till it felt good and did most of it completely myself (i cheated a little as got AI to write me code to save top scores to the cart which was beyond my skills and what I wanted to learn from this).

Tricky bit I found was using the refresh rate to use as a sort of clock I could then make the speed scale off with score as well as use it for specials to last an amount of time that felt good.

Finished it feeling mad and sad but glad I read it.

What a life this guy lead and what a character. This book was mostly very interesting and often quite funny. The only downside for me was that sometimes he was a bit of a womaniser. Overall I enjoyed it, it has some really good and varied anectodes in it. I also really liked how it closed with encouragement for useful science that explores vs science that confirms what you want to know.

It read, to me, as a fairly hard and fast manifesto but it has sources for all her claims and when you take the message with the context she's studied this stuff for years and is a peer reviewed researcher makes it more impactful.

I enjoyed it but ultimately I found a little depressing. I feel I can talk about some of the concepts a little better than I did before as well which was my goal.
