Hoping for some help troubleshooting my Quest 2.

Hey all, I use my quest 2 relatively infrequently (2-4 times a month) usually to watch movies or other media in bed or laying on a couch, etc.

Yesterday I went to use it, and it just refuses to re-center properly when I hold down the meta button, or use the software button to re-center.

I tested it across multiple programs, video players, etc. It will re-center on the horizontal axis but not the vertical axis. What's even weirder, is it will re-center the overlay popup type window (like the one where you just quick press the meta button), but only that.

I've spent a couple hours now reading troubleshooting tips and trying to implement those, I've redrawn the boundary, gone to a different room and removed and redrawn the boundary, all of the stuff. I've tried recommendations from Google Gemini and Grok, to no avail.

I'm fairly certain it's update related, as the UI is a quite bit different from the last time I've used it. I haven't dropped or it anything like that, so I don't think its like a broken gyro or anything along those lines.

The last troubleshooting option a lot of the guides gave was to do a factory reset and see if that resolves the problems. I would VERY much like to avoid this unless it is quite literally the last option.

Any help would be appreciated, anything else I can try etc!

Thank you 😄

Missing the matching right side curtain!

That or the "rotate building piece" option isn't working for this particular item (2nd row, 2nd from left).

Just thought i'd leave this here to hopefully be added to the "list o' minor stuff to address at some future point™"

In case it hasn't been said. THANK YOU!

Quick backstory:

I've spent ungodly hours trying to configure the previous WIndows Jellyfin client to display HDR content properly to no avail, to the point I just gave up and got a firestick and ran that whenever I wanted to watch HDR content. Then, using the firestick, I even discovered the OG client (1.2 I think?) wasn't displaying colors properly in Windows as well for SDR content. I happened to be watching my bluray rips of TNG (4th rewatch!) and noticed between playing them in the Firestick client, then testing MPV directly, the colors were rich and beautiful. Yet when I played in the 1.2 client it was muted.

So, all this is to say, I just installed the 3.0 client, loaded up my test movie (OG Fast and the Furious) and... ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Rich, beautiful colors, highlights pop, no weird color space issues, just perfection. Audio came through my receiver as DTS:HD MA, etc.

So, I just want to say thank you to all the people who have been spending their most valuable resource of time on this project for the benefit of people like me, you f'n rock!

Need help with SATA power - Darkrock NAS Case.

Alroight bros. So I had way too many 4tb HDD's lying around unused, so i decided to pick up this Darkrock NAS case and siphon a motherboard, PSU, etc from an old x99 system that had a I7-5820k in it. I had 9x spinners, 1x 250gb mx200, sounds golden right!

Well, little did I know the thing that would hold me up is the damn SATA power connections LOL.

Ok, so, PSU is a RM650x, i have 4x 6pin peripheral connectors on the back of the PSU, right now 2 are being used for sata power cables, one is a 4x sata connector, and the other a 3x i siphoned from a RM750 i had in a diff system.

My issue is that, if i try to put the back of the case panel on, it mashes down the connectors to a degree where I'm not getting warm and fuzzies from the angle of the cables coming out of the SATA connector.

I did also fish out 2x 6pin to molex cables from the rm750 as well (I've confirmed all of these cables are compatible), so, i'm not opposed to using some molex to sata splitters, but i feel i'll run into the same issue?

Anyways, i'm hoping someone who has run into similar problems might be able to give me some type of solution that doesn't involve a dremel tool and a hole in the side of the case panel haha.

Edit: I Should probably mention, the way the case is setup is that there are 4x detachable drive bays which hold 2x 3.5" per, and then there's a 5th drive by slightly seperate on the bottom of the case. Essentially its 8x HDD's just stacked one on top of each other very closely. I have also tried staggering the cable, so drive 1 (1 being the top) gets Sata connector 1, from cable 1, drive 2 gets sata connector 1 from cable 2, so on and so forth. That did help, but it still wasn't giving me warm and fuzzies.

For some reason I can't seem to get it to work. Dedicated server launcher says the server is appearing to outside (all green lights in the launcher), It's showing up on my steam servers, but it isn't showing in the in game browser, and if i try to connect using "Direct Connect" in the in game browser, it just sits on the window for about 30 seconds then farts me back to the main menu.

Trying to connect through the steam servers also does nothing.

Soon to be new TrueNAS user here!

Ok, so basic situation is that we recently had a hardware failure of an old Synology DS1812+.

Now I have 6x 4TB HDD's lying around unused. I looked through my pile of old PC's and found an old X99/5820k system collecting dust that I am going to repurpose using TrueNAS.

I'm used to Synology SHR and TerraMaster TRAID, in terms of, I can just add a new disk, and simply just expand the volume. What I am curious of is that I'm getting conflicting info on if this is even possible in TrueNAS or if I essentially need to pull all the data off, and then completely rebuild the volume, rather than simply expand it.

My research gives some (seemingly) old info that you would add a new VDEV and that required at least 4 disks, however I'm also seeing some information that it is now possible with the newest versions of TrueNAS, but it's potentially a very complicated CLI situation and/or there are performance issues and other concerns.

Reason I ask, I have one of the 4tb I threw in an external HDD Caddy I've just been using for BS on my personal PC. I could, with some headache, clear it off and add it to the 6x disks I mentioned above.

I'm planning on using the Raid6 equivalent of whatever TrueNAS has for obvious reasons, and if it's going to be a PITA to add this disk later, I'll just clear this disk out and add it to the initial setup volume, rather than spend a few days or weeks clearing it out and then adding it later.

Either way, thanks for the help!

Oh, Second question. My intention was to use a 256gb 2.5" SATA SSD I have lying around as a "system drive" for installing TrueNAS on, and then having the data volume on the 3.5" spinners. I assume this shouldn't be an issue?

I know they briefly talked about discussing things with the hosting companies for private servers, but i've always traditionally hosted my own servers on my own hardware.

Has anyone seen any forum posts from the devs with any info regarding this?
