Use your time as a NEET wisely

I had been a neet for a few years but accepted a full time job at the start of 2026. The job is honestly easy, but draining as I work nights 5x a week and have a long commute. My time off is spent doing chores, meal prepping, and running my ebay shop because my full time job does not pay enough. I am exhausted and burned out in every way. Im also frustrated because I lost my progress on my fitness journey - i was doing great until I got sick because I picked up a bug at work and they wouldnt let me stay home and rest. I had to work through it and it lingered for almost a month. Also I couldnt afford a $200 dr note to force them to let me stay home.

Use your time as a neet wisely. Seriously, start with prioritizing your health. Workout if possible, and try to get steps in too. Drink water, try to have somewhat of a sleep schedule and routine. Learn to cook meals you enjoy, especially affordable meals that you can meal prep. I also learned to coupon and budget way better. Take advantage of opportunities like getting those certifications Google used to have some online for free. Learn new skills. Actually ENJOY doing a healthy hobby.

If you do end up doing a job, it will run you into the ground and suck your soul. The skills I learned about small repairs, meal prepping, polishing my ebay skills, etc are a massive help now that im working and busy.

Im honestly way more miserable now than when I was a neet. Im still broke, and im tired often. When I do have time off, im honestly too burnt out to go out and do anything fun or hobbies. The stress honestly gives me stomach aches a lot, and it makes getting back into the gym routine even harder.

I seriously dont know how long I will last like this, its the only job I could get full time I dont have money or time to go back to school and I dont even know what id go back for. Just trying to pay off the credit cards and talking to family about moving home.

Genuinely thinking about dumping him and moving home, in my 30s. He is not serious about finances.

Recently had a birthday and was very depressed. We are in our 30s, and I refuse to marry him until he gets things more together. We have no savings, we dont own a house, and we have debt. I struggled to get hired, and he went through 4 companies until he finally got one thats giving him an actual full time schedule with a decent paycheck. We both have debt, mine is mostly medical for a condition that was a total fluke and had me sick for almost a year - barely able to work, mostly in bed.

Being in my 30s now feels like such a wake up call. I work as much as possible, and pickup overtime when possible. I have a 2nd job as well. Neither of the jobs pay that great, but its so hard to get hired and these are what I could get.

I make so much of my food at home, I clearance shop, thrift, and i coupon. I dont have subscriptions or memberships. I make coffee at home. I meal prep for myself and my boyfriend. We cutout a lot of junkfoods. We haven't purchased sodas, juices, chips, donuts, cookies, etc other than when we celebrate a birthday. I drink a lot of water, tea, and black coffee. I exercise at home with thrifted equipment.

I am so motivated to get debts paid down, and save up money so we can try to buy a house. I paid off my car and 2 credit cards. I secretly have a little money stashed away he doesnt know about.

But im frustrated and communicated this because he ignores the meal prep and still goes and spends $20 to $30 on himself in the drive thru each time. He is still sneaking out to the Dutch bros and dropping $9 on a damn coffee. It feels like every other month theres some video game hes dropping $100 to $200 on. His cars feel like money pits, as they always have serious issues and serious bills. My car is working fine and hes insisting we take it to the steelership (dealership) and pay a grand for tire sensors and fluid swaps. He insists its "maitence" he will pay for, and flipped out when I said im taking the stealership quote elsewhere to price around for the same services.

It seems that everytime we start to financially get ahead on anything, he creates some other bills.

I talked to my family, who was never really supportive of me - never helped set me up to be successful or financially smart and kicked me out when I was still in school - and they said theyre trying to convert part of their basement into a small apartment and im really thinking about leaving my boyfriend and moving back with family.

Im mentally exhausted all I do is work and work, my day off I spend cleaning and meal prepping, and I just dont feel like hes on board whatsoever.

Not to be graphic but I never wanted kids and recently his mother started brainwashing him about grandkids, so now he is pushing me to have kids and recently he didnt pull out. I flipped out, im on the pill, but am still very irregular and live in a state where abortion is illegal. There are some days where I miss the pill because I cant get home in time and have to take it late. Its too hot to pack it along too.

I just cant do this

I'm getting tired of trying to "make it" with my job, partner, and health issues. I am loosing hope, feels like I only exist to pay bills

Ive been in a serious relationship for a while now, and we havent gotten married because its not something I want to do. For the years we have been together it feels like there is a storm cloud over both of us, every time something starts going better then something big happens and sets us further back. It started in 2020, I lost my job for reasons you can guess based on the year, and couldnt get hired. So we moved. We both couldnt get hired in the new location so we both took a break and moved back with our families. We got working, saved up money, and moved to a different state. My job and his were doing well enough, and we decided to have him do trade school. then I got sick so it really financially strained us as he was finishing school. He had to take time to take care of me as my family would not bother, so it delayed him getting hired with the education. I healed up and got hired full time and he finally was able to get hired with his education, but because he had "no experience" he wasn't making much money and he was pretty miserable. Things started getting better again, we were able to start paying cards off and started saving up some money. Then the landlord gives us notice they arent renewing the lease because theyll be selling the place we were renting.

So we found a good 3 places we wanted, one filled up fast. The other 2 options we applied for but then they needed stuff from my job, and basically my evil boss at the time played dumb and refused to give me the info I needed. I started calling other people, trying to get what the rental place needed, and was met with a lot of hostility and dead ends. Finally I got the contact info of who could get me the info - and they were out for a week. In the meantime I was able to dig up employment verification on my end and handed that over, while scrambling to make calls and see who was available to verify my employment on the company's end. The rental refused what I gave them and demanded that they get it from the one employee who had it and was away all week - and guess what both rentals got filled by the time they returned. We applied a few other places and were denied (because we aren't married and they wont accept 2 people applying) or just grossed out and walked out because properties had broken gates, dog poop everywhere, etc lots of nasty stuff showing they weren't cared for. We ended up going with a nice rental but it was at the very TOP of the budget- and its been a nightmare paying rent ever since.

Moving wiped the savings out. Atop that my evil boss really got unbearable- she was framing me for stealing money and I was getting s*xually harassed at work - shown three nudes and then they attempted to grab me (all proven on camera and with texts) and when I reported it multiple times turns out my boss was sleeping with a higher up and they covered it all up. I ended up quitting for my own safety along with several others, and went back to working for myself as I job searched.

In the meantime, my spouse was working and not even 3 months after I quit the job, my spouses job started severely cutting his hours. For the next year, his paychecks would severely fluctuate based on how many hours they gave him - and i helped him apply to other companies but they all cried that he needed another year of experience. All as I'm working for myself, doing doordash to make up for the slack and we are both applying for other jobs. A year like that. I cooked at home, shopped sales for groceries, made coffee at home, didnt really go out at all. All while my income fluctuates heavily and my hair starts going white from stress. I keep getting stomach aches and bugs from the stress, along with weight gain from a poor diet and spending a lot of time sedentary driving for doordash. When I start getting into a really good workout routine and the weight starts coming off, the stress from life gets to me and I get thrown off my being sick for a few days.

Finally I got hired and worked and we just barely were making rent. And then finally he gets hired, gets through the training nonsense and then finally starts seeing actual paychecks. hes also gained weight and is away a lot, even when he packs food he still goes and buys fast food - spends almost $30 on himself at McDonald's. Ive tried helping him pick out different food to pack and made him stuff, but its like hes addicted to fast food and buys it along with eating the packed lunch.

And then finally my 2nd job of doing ebay picks up and we had extra money saved up from it. Cards paid down again. And then bam, we need new times. Finally paid that off, and then bam his car has a massive failure and needs basically a whole new engine, whole new transmission (and NO he doesnt have the equipment or time home to diy it) so they want all this money to repair it and refuse to give us any finance options. So we just cant afford it. I cant get overtime, neither can he. I cant get more of my ebay stuff to sell. So the car just sits and doesnt run. Then his phone completely breaks and we get him another - a cheaper one online, but still expensive. Then the lawnmower broke... and then our cat wont use the new litter box the right way and points their butt outside it so the cat pee gets outside and into the carpet. Now we have to but another litter box and put the cat into the big bathroom with all the tile, because we otehrwise are constantly cleaning up cat messes. We've tried to rehome the cat but no one will take her, and the shelters want to put her down... so the bathroom and buying a litter box in there is just gonna have to work as its easier to clean the bathroom tile floors.

Yall i am tired. All I do is work, work work. And every single time we start to get a little ahead, something major happens and wipes us out. My partner is mentally so wiped, and came home snapped at me because the cat made a mess again and the kitchen was a little messy (I home cook every single day to save money, and I work 2 jobs) and I see he went out to eat $22 fast food reciept when I had food I made for him to heat up he did not touch. I genuinely don't feel like he is on board with anything to financially get us where we need to be. I am sick of it. Unfortunately I cant afford my own place i "dont make 3x the rent" and dont have savings to move even if i magically got approved. Ive also had a lot of places hassle me over ebay and doordash income because it "flucuates" yeah depending on how much doordash i do and for ebay almost everything sells between Halloween and Christmas so I make a ton of sales then when the rest of the year is not much at all.

I dont have the option to move in with family and ive applied to higher paying jobs with no word back. So im sort of stuck with him, but im ready to give him an ultimatum he really needs to cut down seriously on eating out and his stupid monthly subscriptions why do we have Amazon prime, crunchy roll, peacock, a gym we dont use, steam, and video game monthly subs he isnt even home to use? It needs to stop.

Everyday I see myself aging, my stomach often hurts from the stress my hair is turning white prematurely and im sick and tired of just feeling like all we do is run on a never ending hamster wheel - there's no rewards, no vacations, no little treats - just working to pay bills just to wake up and do it all over.

Really gonna see if I can ask my mom about moving in again and leave him - he really needs to get on board. The stress really is gonna prematurely end us both its just so overwhelming every day

I stopped going to the Dr - its a money pit and no one actually helps

I had a great pediatrician as a kid and teen and when I was in college my relative was a doctor so id talk to them about anything going on and they'd talk to their friend, who was my PCP. really liked the PCP, but they retired. Next pcp I had only saw once, and she was really rude and dismissive of me and my concerns. I ended up moving to have better work, and it was impossible to get appointments with anyone in the insurance system. So I would just go to urgent care for anything minor. One day I had an infected lymph node so I went to the er, which got me a lot of tests and stuff and they still made me see a pcp which I had to cry on the phone and drive almost 2 hours one way to get an appointment, and they didnt do anything but get me antibiotics and a referral. Basically the infection cleared up, but I was still pretty sick, and the specialist was so rude and dismissive, she wouldn't even shake my hand, and she poked and proded the sick area and made it very infected again so I had to go back to the er, ended up have a surgery where they cut it out and was much better since. Ive also had horrendous experiences anytime Ive gone to the gyno - where ive gotten fat shamed by female drs who also dismissed all my pain and symptoms- and when they check they never can find anything even though its definitely endometriosis (sister has it, and my relative said it definitely is). Even getting an rx for my birth control pills, which really keep my endo symptoms under control is a hassle because my lady dr always tries to have me try a different rx (even tho the one ive been on has always helped and worked, when others made things unbearable and worse). Its literally such a hassle to get them to write even the refill for it, to the point that I switched to an online service and they also hassle me.

My insurance doesnt cover or really help much for anything. I honestly havent seen a doc in about 3 years now for anything - I genuinely cannot afford it, and its so stressful even trying to find who's in network, and then trying to get an appointment. I havent been trying or fighting to get an official endometriosis diagnosis because yall know that disease is not taken seriously and nothing ever really is done to help it. Ive avoided pap smears because of how genuinely painful, awkward, and traumatic it was when I had one when I was younger. Majority of my health issues are pretty much endometriosis - when I start pms-ing I bloat, have a lot of pain, lots of fatigue, and get a sour stomach with diarrhea, with a little nausea too. And no one cares. All these drs anytime I do go in, send me on a wild goose chase /money pit of getting all these tests and scans and seeing specialists ... it costs a fortune even with insurance, and often i have to miss work because of the ridiculous amounts of appts, atop of the fact I commute into them.

When 2026 started I did try to make an appt with the new pcp they assigned me and theres no way to schedule apt online, and shes not even on zocdoc. Ive tried looking for other drs in network and cant get appts for a good year. So I tried making an apt on telehealth to have them renew the birth control and they NEVER CALLED ME when they were supposed to. I tried 3x. This is all because the insurance dropped the online service I used to order the birth control... ugh. Ive cried hearing all my sister has gone through since she started her periods as she has endo, shes been fighting the system for years and still suffering missed so much school and work, literally bleeding so much shes had to go to the er for emergency surgeries and to replace how much blood she lost just from having awful periods. And still they wont actually do ... anything. Endo doesnt qualify for disability here. Shes spent a lot even with better insurance trying to fight the endo and the system.

So ive literally stopped bothering with the system. Genuinely I am so over it. Im in the process of getting my passport so I can more easily cross from the U. S. A to Mexico as they have much more affordable dental care and you can get a lot of tests/scans and some rx down there. Ive switched to better for you foods, I shop at sprouts a lot, and homecook almost everything. I drink a lot of water, I was exercising but my endo makes it so hard to stay in a good routine so I just walk and get steps in for now. I take a lot of vitamins, paint and write, and do self care. Insurance feels like a scam. I genuinely dont care about my risk or if I have high blood pressure I cannot afford all these appointments, the driving, the missing work when im already financially strapped, all to the find nothing. And even if they did find a cancer there's no way id be able to afford it or even tolerate how sick treatments would likely make me. The system is so impossible to fight, I genuinely am okay when my time comes it comes, I dont want to be stressed and strapped with this broken mess of a system anyways I just want to live the life I have

Cycle of jobs with bad coworkers/no one caring - making me leave these jobs

Its happening again. Haven't been at this job long, but its decent money and chill, with lots of down time. The issue - always is - a really awful coworker who gets away with everything - as usual no one cares, they know and wont do anything about them.

Its getting to the point where this coworker is such a problem that yet again, its putting me on the line. Because they never do anything, ive been coming into a slew of issues that I have to resolve. Recently, a fire had almost started because of the coworker. Every shift that they work, it seems to be an issue, getting more and more severe.

I have been documenting everything. I have sent emails, texts, have collected photos, and even keep a journal with all the dates, times, and records of the incidents. I have discussed this with multiple supervisors, with evidence being presented. Another coworker and boss have also mentioned the problem coworker to me, complaining how they are having similar issues. The problem coworker has openly mocked and blatantly insulted a supervisor, who did try to escalate it and nothing actually got done. Another supervisor recently told me that "oh we know about them, but just focus on your own job, it is what it is."

I havent bothered with HR because I know how that will go - theyll retaliate and push me out because I made a stink. The problem coworker has also made fun of my physical appearance to my face, laughing and mockingly imitating me, and has also made faces watching me walk. He has also openly trashed talked the supervisor who was trying hard to get him fired.

The thing is my job is basically a hired contractor so there are different locations. The location we have can drop us at any time really, and go with cheaper options, and they have done that before. The people who are the client have also expressed upset and frustration to me in regards to the bad coworker, and I know its a matter of time before we get dropped and when that happens they'll transfer me to a different client and location, with likely a lower pay rate and more busy work - which i wouldn't stay around for. People at other locations make a lot less.

So this is just a timebomb- trying to ride it out while I can and get finances in order. This just keeps happening at every job ive had these really.bad eggs keep making things crash down on me and no one cares

Sloth coworker is ruining my new job, and no one cares

Finally got hired at an easy, good paying job think of it like a security job and lets call the bad coworker the sloth. From day 1 management glazed hin saying hes been there for years, knows what hes doing, and how they have him train people.

Pretty quickly I noticed that he doesnt do really anything at the job. This didnt bother me at first as it didnt impact me. But then the nonsense started quickly, id get to work and he started by making comments and laughing to my face about my physical appearance, and even mockingly imitated things about me like how I walk and talk. I ignored the immaturity because I already know that HR doesnt care and if I whipped my phone out to get any proof he'd shut up real fast. So I ignored the sloth harassing me and because he isnt getting reactions he stopped.

But then things got serious as the fact he does nothing started crashing down on me. Basically he'd tell me there were no issues or anything to worry about at work, but then Id find myself walking into a slew of issues that are getting more and more serious. The most recent one being that a fire almost started because of the sloth. There's also been times more frequently where he claims hes found problems - and insinuate that they happened when I was there and that I didn't catch them which isnt the case (and I have documented). Hes also brazenly admitted to me that he has not done several required tasks which ive documented and talked to supervisors about.

Ive been keeping as much evidence as possible of everything he tells me - and everything that happens. I have pictures, work documents, emails and texts, and also a journal where I write down dates, times, and description of what happened. I have contacted and spoken to supervisors and the lead manager about all of this, with evidence. Turns out sloth openly mocked and harassed one of the supervisors, and they tried getting sloth fired for it, but nothing actaully happened. This supervisor has also caught him red handed not doing his job at all, supervisor even called me about it, and still HR has not done anything.

Most recently, because a fire almost started from the sloth, another supervisor told me that they are aware of it, and that I need to "just focus on doing your job, it is what it is". Dismissed. Im so sick of this bs.

My other coworkers have expressed that they also have issues with sloth and are frustrated. Its like everytime I come into work, because I am the shift change for the sloth we have a little overlap then he leaves - then I get stuck basically dealing with all the issues he left. Issues like alarms literally going off and fires almost starting. This isnt me "going above and beyond" he literally leaves massive issues that need immediate attention to handle, issues that will fall down onto me and supervisors have told me that yeah his incompetence can, and likely will, get me fired.

I cant prove it, other than logs showing he does nothing for 3 to 4 hour timespans, but I just know hes sleeping or watching p0rn on the job. Ive more or less caught him using the womens bathroom once, even though we have a man's and a gender neutral one that were both open (and are always clean) and no he isnt trans this isnt a gender identity thing. Sloth gives me a creepy vibe and has from day one like he has weird fetishes- tmi but he used the womens before my shift the whole bathroom stank so bad, he left toliet paper wads all over and there was hair allover the one stall, I have reason to believe this was to stink it up for me (im a woman) or that it was some weird fetish of his to be in there, doing nasty things. Again, think of this like security hes one of the only people there for his shift and I am for mine and I also have access to the cameras ive seen it was him who went in. Its a weird vibe to get off someone, but he gives me that vibe that its a fetish and like hes the type to hide cameras in there. He's also literally admitted to me several times he hasn't done his job nd just doesnt care, laughing like a psycho. He's also told me a few times, unpromoted where he lives, and has fished to try to figure out where I live which I didnt like or tell him.

I know so many will say "look for another job" but listen it was so so hard for me to get a full time decent paying job! Ive only been at this job a little but financially its finally starting to get me in a better place overall and its genuinely a great job, he is the only factor that is really starting to mess things up. At this point, I know that if I go to HR that they'll just Crack down on me and push me out, so I wont bother. My friend and I think he is related to someone really high up, and thats why he is basically immune to any consequences. My other option is I could ask to transfer to another location, but that issue is that other locations pay significantly less (and would also be more of a commute) so it wouldn't even be worth it at that point, I'd just put in a 2 week and work for an entirely different job.

Im so genuinely exhausted of those sloths ive dealt with one before who was actively framing me for stealing company money. I had evidence and she had friends in HR they actually covered it up for her among other serious things, she was sleeping with people to get promotions, lying on time sheets, and exploited a disabled employee as well. Its really sick. I spoke to so many people and everytime I was ignroed and retaliated against so I ended up quitting.

I dont know how much longer this current job will last, as the sloth is really ruining things. I feel myself getting to the point of snapping soon. I may ask for a day or 2 extra off just to get my head back in the game.

Endo keeps f-ing up my weight loss journey, may start WeGovy

For the past almost year, ive tried to get into a gym routine and im trapped in this nightmare where I basically go everyday for about a month and my body starts getting used to working out, I build stamina, and my clothes feel just a little looser. Then ill either pickup a bug and be sick a 2 or 3 days so ill skip the gym, and then once I feel okay enough ill go and start up again with a power walk and then feel quesy again. It takes me about a full week to really feel better and be able to workout as normal again. OR if I don't pickup a bug, ill get enough of an endo flare that ill be cramping/having diarrhea, very lethargic, super ravenously hungry, and generally feeling very hot and overheated quickly ... so ill just power walk and even that Is hard. Sometimes the flares are 2 weeks where I just only am able to powerwalk and its also enough to throw me out of the routine. So its been almost a year and between the flares and bugs, I havent gotten weight off, I dont even feel like ive gotten into a routine and I haven't been able ro build and maintain stamina.

Im thinking of starting the wegovy pill to help get weight off and ive heard its helped some with endo symptoms. My sister also has endo and very similar issues to me and it helped reduce her endo symptoms. The thing that is holding me back is the cost.

I want to get healthier and get in better shape and the endo is making it so hard to move its tmi but I get bad flares where I get cramps and diarrhea so I keep having to run to the bathroom and its painful. I havent been able to workout really at all like that. This isnt a just push through it or drink more water, its an endo issue.

Partner needs to finance a car repair and has lousy credit?

For context we are not married, and he will NOT sell or get rid of the car. We have tried but just have not been able to save to pay it. The place offers financing but he barely got approved for anything, and we just cannot swing the cost.

Does anyone know where you can get a loan to cover the whole or majority of the cost of the repair that has a decent chance of approval? He isnt too worried about a bad rate, we can no longer share the one working car and we both commute.
