Pura Max 2 or Purobot Ultra

I have two British shorthair/longhair, 4 months old, male and female.

Between the Pettit Pura max pro 2.0 and the Purobot Ultra with camera, which one would you choose, if the price isn’t an issue ?

Do you have a recommendation ? Experiences ?

Thank you!

Just lost my kitten… Should I adopt another one ?

Hello,

I just lost my female british shorthair flame point kitten of 5 month to a battle against FIP… Ir was very sudden, she was at the clinic. We thought she was stabilised, but we were wrong.

This is tragic, we really did all we could.

We loved her to a point, I never thought I could love a cat so much… She was like a daughter to me, my dearest love

The thing is :
She had a companion of 4 month, healthy as can be.
I can clearly see she’s looking for her and is pretty lost without her. As we are too. But he doesn’t understand and didn’t see her go.

He’s a male British longhair. Strong playful personality, very vocal and lovely

We had, the day before she passed, a proposition of the breeder (a reputable one) of our remaining British longhair to adopt one of the kitten of the same litter.

We didn’t think about it then.

It’s because the people that should have come to get the two cats remaining of the litter never came…

As I am scared that my kitten will be lost, and also as I am devastated and my partner too, I was wondering if you would adopt so soon in my position ?

For the sake of our kitten first, and then maybe to sooth our heart that are deeply broken from the lost of our beloved kitten.

I have a choice between a British short hair seal point male (kinda looks like our deceased baby, in more black tones… but white) and a female Scottish fold that looks silver shaded/golden (?) goes more to grey. Pedigree and all.

The white male has a playful personality and the greyish female as a personality that seems to be like our latest beloved cat…

What would you do? is it too soon?

And which one would you choose, if you would do it ?

Out kitty has never been the only cat in the household. I don’t want him to feel lost… And they are from his own litter too, I would think they would get along quite well as they know each other and he has been with us for a month.

Don’t hesitate to tell me your opinion, advices or experiences. Anything would help really

Thank you and have a great day/night

(Thoughts to you, my so so loved kitty ❤️)

Urgent : Possible resistance to GS : combination therapy ? EID?

édit : she was just diagnosed with Sclerosing Encapsulating Peritonitis
they kinda want me to put her down ??? help

Hello,
I am shaking as I am writing this so i’m sorry for any mistake.

My kitten (5 month) is currently in the ER (intensive care). She was at 33 days of GS everyday. She’s most likely resistant to GS, somehow

She was at 33°C, very bad blood platelets and still a lot of fluid.

We have a 50/50 chance of getting her back alive.

As I am grasping for hope as much as i can, i need to envisage the fact that she comes back and to have another treatment available.

I’m way too scared to stop the GS too.

Can i add EID (molnupravir) ?

Like give GS and the EID dosage ?

Where and how should i get it ? injection? capsule ?

i am from Belgium, in Europe.

Is it ok to combine both antivirals? what are my options ?

I am not quite thinking clearly, please help….

Thank you

Kitten is not losing the fluid but is doing okay otherwise ? (while one treatment (GS))

Hello, my kitten (F, 5months, wet FIP diagnosed and followed by a vet closely) hasn’t been losing the fluid in her abdomen (only the belly) while on treatment.

We are currently on day 22 of GS. We upped the dose one week ago because of that, in advice of our vet.

Since the start of treatment, she has stopped losing hair, started eating a lot again, acting like herself, no lethargy, playing and running.

The only problem is that this fluid is not going down ! (We mesured 41 cm in the waist for less than 2,5 kg)

Right now we are waiting on our 4th week appointment. We already upped the GS dose (orally).

In the mean time, I would like to know if any of you had this kind of issue. I’m deadly scared and traumatized by FIP, and this belly is not helping at all, even if all the other things seems to have perked up.

If it happened to you, did it resolve ?
How ? What did you do ?

Thank you so much. Sending lots of courage for the people and kitties fighting this battle right now.

We got this !
