A few days ago I shared my small portable MSFS display idea here, and the interest was much bigger than expected.

So I kept working on it this is now the running version: you can test it on https://flightcue.up.railway.app/

It is a small portable display that shows your live flight info, made especially for long-haul flights or moments when you step away from the sim.

Main features:

live flight status
-ETA / remaining distance
-altitude / speed / wind
-TOD alarm / top of descent reminder
-country-based radio — when you fly over a country, you can listen to national radio stations from that country

useful when watching TV, training, cooking, sitting outside, or quickly being away from the PC

The main idea:

Take your flight with you :and don’t miss TOD.
DIY people / Reddit users: if you want to order the hardware yourself and install the software, message me. I can share the software for free.

Ready-to-go versions with software pre-installed should be possible from June 1st.

Or help to build/code with me ? I want also to build like world radios api, to have a chane listing directly on the app radio from the country. Also open for feedback, new features

What do you think would be the best hardware option? I found an ESP32 480x480 AMOLED board, but I think it's too expensive at $30, or 3D Print the case and buy Screen and Hardware seperate?

How it works

The current gameplay loop is:

- Open NarcoSkies in your browser or on your phone

- Receive a mission through the chat/story system

- Fly the route yourself inside MSFS

- Land at the destination

- Open the proof camera

- Take one photo of your sim screen

-The AI checks if the photo matches the mission destination

I-f the proof is accepted, the story continues and the next step unlocks

No plugin installation.

No SimConnect setup.

No constant tracking.

No background recorder.

You fly normally in MSFS, and after landing you prove the result with the browser camera.

How the proof camera works

-After landing, NarcoSkies asks you to take a proof photo directly through the app.

-The AI checks whether the photo visually matches the mission context.

For example, it checks things like:

whether the aircraft appears to be on the ground

whether the environment matches the expected destination

whether the runway / airport surroundings make sense

whether the terrain fits the mission area

whether the proof matches the assigned route

So if the mission ends at a mountain strip in the Alps, the proof photo should visually look like that kind of location.
