Novel without a romance plotline

Hi everyone! Can anyone recommend some very positive cozy fantasy books that don't feature romance? Already established couples are fine, but I just don't have the patience right now to read about blossoming love or people ogling each other. Don't get me wrong, I love love, I just don't want to read about it currently.

I was about to dive into Sarah Beth Durst's "The Enchanted Greenhouse" but all her other books I've read have had romance plotlines and I'm just not into it right now. I loved "Greenteeth" by Molly O'Neill and would like something like that.

Weird request, I know. Thanks.

How quickly have you experienced neuropathy improving after cutting out gluten?

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I don't THINK this counts as seeking medical advice since I'm looking for personal experiences, my apologies to the mods if you view it differently.

So a little bit of background, we know I have an autoimmune disease or two but not entirely sure which one(s). Based on rashes I've gotten that my dermatologist has believed were psoriasis, an allergic reaction, or dermatitis herpetiformis, plus neuropathy that presented at the same time as the rashes and has only gotten worse, and persistent vitamin deficiency (soooo many iron infusions!), two of my doctors think Celiac is a possible cause. No testing for it has been done because my PCP thinks it's unlikely to get a positive result because I'm also a diet controlled type 2 diabetic (so think 10 g carbs per day mostly from veggies and the occasional berry but usually at least once a day a cracker or tiny bite of something else with gluten) and already eat little gluten to start with and he doesn't want me to ruin my body by eating 2 slices of bread daily for 2 months.

He said to just cut out all gluten and see how it goes. It's been 4 weeks of no gluten and I noticed yesterday that my feet no longer get painful and tingly when my legs are crossed even after like 10 minutes. If I'm having a flare, this gets painful immediately, but even if I'm not, I can usually only do it for about 2 minutes. I've also noticed my pinky and ring fingers aren't going numb after holding my phone for a few minutes.

For those with neuropathy as a primary symptom of Celiac, how quickly has it started to improve? Is 4 weeks too soon? It's not completely gone, numbness in my toes is still present and some other things but this is the least nerve issues I've had in 4 years.

Also, anyone else here with neuropathy and rashes as their primary symptoms? Also, anyone have Celiac and Sjögren's?

Thank you.

Baby measuring 1 week behind but I'm certain of dates

Hi everyone, just looking for other people's experience.

So I got a positive ovulation test July 2, presumably ovulated July 3, and got a positive test at 10 dpo on July 13.

I am exactly 7 weeks today, and had an ultrasound because of bleeding. My baby is measuring 6 weeks. CRL is 3.56 mm and heart rate is 90 bpm. Everything would look perfect if I was actually 6 weeks but I'm not, I'm 7.

The doctor who I just met for the first time today is very nice and insists there's a good chance everything is completely fine, even after I explained and even showed a calendar with positive ovulation tests and pregnancy tests. But I feel like this is headed nowhere good.

Follow up ultrasound is in 1 week.

Anyone been in this position and if so, how did it work out? I'm 41, have had 5 prior losses with 2 of them around 7 weeks, so feel like I've seen this movie before and know the ending. Also 3 LC plus bleeding with them, but they all measured as they should.

Vent about acquaintance's pregnancy

Hi everyone, just need to complain to people who might get it. I've had 5 losses and have been completely avoiding Facebook for months because it's nonstop pregnancy and baby stuff. I have Facebook Messenger though because that's the way I chat with a couple of friends.

The other day, I got a message from an acquaintance- we live on opposite sides of the world and only interact a couple of times per year. So, not close though I do like her. The message was a video with pictures of her kids and then a pregnancy announcement at the end and that's it, there was no text or anything.

She knows about my miscarriages. She knows I lost a baby who should be the age of her youngest child, which is painful. If she hadn't sent me that message, I likely wouldn't have known about the pregnancy for months, which is... fine? Why did I need to know about it? I checked her Facebook profile and she had posted the same pregnancy announcement there so I don't know why she needed to message it to me.

To make it harder, I'm currently pregnant- only 5 weeks so plenty of time for it to go to hell - and due the same month as her. So if this pregnancy ends the same way as the prior 5, I'll once again be watching her raise a baby born when mine should be and have that reminder.

She's sweet and I like her and hope her pregnancy goes well, but this is hard and I just wanted to vent, thank you for reading.

FRER lines not progressing, but Pregmate are? 12 to 16 dpo

Hi everyone, looking for some info and thoughts here. First of all, how do my line progressions look? I decided not to test until 12 DPO this month which is why there isn't a test from before then, and there's no 13 DPO test bc I was going to try just testing every other day.

Note that all tests were done with FMU after 6 (the 12 dpo test) to 8 (all the other days) hours of sleep.

Also, has anyone recently had issues with FRER not showing much difference while Pregmate is? Most unfortunately, this is the 4th time I've been pregnant in the past 8 months and my 9th pregnancy overall so I have oodles of experience, even recently, with FRER tests and usually they're really good for line progression. The unbranded pink strips are FRER and the two that I've used do seem to show progression.

Thank you and wish me luck, like I said I've lost 3 babies since December (5 miscarriages total)and it's been hellish. Also, I know having betas done if most accurate but honestly I find them extremely stressful and anxiety inducing because I've had them done 16 times the past 3 pregnancies. Right now I'm preferring whatever feels less scary and that's just watching line progression.
