Question on Stalin purges
I want to know why did he start eliminating communists in the 30s , i vaguely know that there was an attempt to overthrow him but why did it really happen, what caused the purges because its usually presented as you know Stalin went mad and started to butcher innocent people but i wanna actually know the reason to it
