repotting shock help!

hi so i bought this diamond pothos but noticed there were a bunch of millipedes. i’m afraid of bugs to the point of tears and decided to repot back into the same size pot with my chunky soil mix and just rinse the roots gentle to remove any eggs. i also went in with my bug spray given to me by my local
nursery. this is what she’s looking like after the repot and i’m so worried! none of my other pothos have done this, but to be fair none of them have been root rinsed or had me handle them quite as much. please advise!

when to continue vs quit

hi! i’ve been training in various forms of tkd and mma for about 10 years. started when i was 7. all the way until a year and a half ago, i felt like i didn’t deserve my rank bcs it was a McDojo. it never felt like truly elite fighting. did a lot of research and decided to restart at a world ranked team, and got injured immediately.

i’m also a full time neuroscience student. it’s a lot of work, and i run a tutoring business. my days are spent studying and working and occasionally resting.

during my injury, i wasn’t able to train for almost a year. my coaches supported me and i came back for once a week training. it’s hard to unlearn something and try to relearn something new, and it’s hard to be bad at it. but we do hard things. that’s not the issue.

my dojang is 30 mins away and we train at night. by the time i get done with class and work, the idea of hopping in the car for a two hour training and getting back at 9:30 PM is exhausting. i recently kind of started to see tkd as something where im not going to go pro. i want to compete and have an ITF black belt, but i dont think my life trajectory is one that allows me to join team USA and travel to do this. i’m getting a degree and for religious reasons it wont happen. even then, i plan on going to law school and so school and work are constants in my life. that’s how i like it.

apart from grappling with the idea that this is now just a hobby, and i can’t be pro (can still be a good fighter and grow), im struggling to get myself to training. i’ll go once a week and then make excuses not to go again. i’m asking myself why and i cant come up with anything other than im exhausted and i have to study or work. i cant shake this feeling that i dont love taekwondo anymore. at the same time, im constantly thinking about practice and training and its almost an obsession. so maybe i do love it? im not sure. letting go feels like giving up. letting go feels like letting go of who i have been for 11 years of my life.

i’m not sure what advice anyone else has or if they have been through a similar situation. is this just a rough patch? how would you suggest i tackle it. how do i get to the bottom of why i am feeling like this?

neuro pre law

hi! so i’m a freshman in college with the credits to be a sophomore. i’m currently majoring in neuroscience, and i did this because i truly do not want a humanities degree. i loved biological and chemistry sides of psych, and chose this to hopefully open doors. i’m super passionate about health and wellness and as an athlete i love learning about basically the way the brain and body function and work. it’s something im really interested in.

that said, i also spent my entire high school career doing mock trail competitively and i love law. i loved reading about the law and i have the mind for the analysis and thinking. multiple lawyers who saw me in court in mock trial pulled me aside to tell me it was my calling.

as of now, im pre-law in neuroscience. i’m afraid that if i decide i don’t wanna do law i’ll be stuck with a degree that i can’t do anything with. i do value a high income. i’m ok doing a masters or higher education but i don’t want to do research. i’m open to medicine but im very very hesitant because i just feel like i cannot see myself in that field at all.

i was always told i was good at everything and i don’t say to be conceited because it’s just confused me. i was a straight A student who has not once gotten a B and i just study and things make sense. i feel like i could fit in anywhere but i haven’t had much exposure to coding or anything like that since i never took it in HS.

i should mention im a math tutor and love love love to teach math and explain it and why it is how it is. i’m good at that too.

is neuroscience a bad move? what would you suggest me to do in this case? does it open doors?

tretinoin 0.025 vs azelaic 15%

last month i was diagnosed with rosacea types 1 and 2 and was given metrocream. i’ve been using it for a month and noticed less puddles and redness but not a big enough difference. i was given tret 0.025 and azelaic acid 15% today. the thing is i feel like i don’t have enough acne to warrant tret. i have a lot of dark marks and break out when i eat sugar or have a rosacea flare, and am hesitant to use a retinoid given my age (younger than 20). should i move to using azelaic acid and metro? just azelaic? has anyone seen poor effects of tretinoin? is it suggested for someone who feels they don’t have acne but just some pretty moderate rosacea?

right now i should add im using dr sams cleanser and moisturizer with metro 2x daily and no sunscreen. haven’t been able to find a sunscreen that my skin doesn’t break out from.

for reference i put a pic of my skin from this past week. it looks worse in specific lighting and it’s only on my cheeks.

need help finding a new dojo in MD

for context, ive been doing tkd and MMA or kyokushin for 10 years. I recently moved to an ITF dojo in MD, which I wont name. I'm having a hard time acclimating there and connecting with my teammates. I really value a close connection with people around me and a welcoming environment, just as much as I value authentic martial arts. this dojo is incredibly accomplished but it's not for me. I want ot move to a new dojo in taekwondo, but not a mcdojo. anyone know of anywhere I should check out?
