Who:
- Person 1 (Creditor/Plaintiff) – claims ₱900,000 unpaid principal plus ₱275,000 accrued interest.
- Person 2 (Debtor/Defendant) – allegedly failed to pay the obligation.
How:
Person 1 intends to file a small claims case against Person 2 for collection of money. The unpaid principal amounts to ₱900,000, while the accrued/stipulated interest totals ₱275,000. The issue is whether the court will consider the total claim as ₱1,175,000 in determining if the case still falls within small claims jurisdiction.
Kasama po ba ang accrued/stipulated interest sa computation ng jurisdictional amount sa small claims?
Example: ₱900k unpaid principal + ₱275k accrued interest. Will the court consider the total claim as ₱1.175M for purposes of determining whether pasok pa sa small claims jurisdiction?
