Just got my first tattoo yesterday (its been more than 24 hours by now)! I cant tell if the peeling at the top is too close to the tattoo or not. Im supposed to leave the 2nd skin on for 3-5 days but just wanted to make sure that it is still sterile under there.
No liquid has escaped but the part im worried about is the top so I dont think liquid would usually escape up there on account of gravity. Should i remove it? Sorry if the answer is obvious, but again, it is my first tattoo.

EDIT: Took it off and did my aftercare! I also reached out to my artist to ask about it and he said to take it off. Wasn’t sure if it was too late to ask him so i asked here first. Thank you guys!

I have been following a youtube tutorial for the riley mesh sweater and its been super fun and easy and i love it but i am just now realizing that my sleeves keep increasing but i am following the youtube tutorial exactly.

Also i magic knotted by new yarn colors so i would lose some yarn undoing it and it would be annoying. I like the bell sleeve look but its just a little too big for me. So just wondering if anyone has any advice or went through this same problem with this tutorial.

I got double incision top surgery! Just showing my progress thus far. I just started scar massages and silicone scar tape.

I feel like theres not that many of these out there so here you go. It felt like someone forcefully tugging something out of my body and kinda hurt but i was glad to get the drains out!

Im 4 weeks post op tomorrow and the purple marker and the glue they used on me have come off on one side but not the other. I have been looking at other top surgery pics at 4 weeks and it seems no one else has purple marker and glue still stuck on their chest.

In the shower, I let soap and water run down my chest but it hasn’t done much. Am I supposed to peel the glue off?

Also I haven’t seen many people 4 weeks post op who still have stitches that haven’t fallen off so I’m wondering if I should wait for them to fall off before I start scar care. My surgeon says scar care is a scam but I have seen people’s results look a lot better with scar care and massages.

I was wondering if anybody else dealt with redness near the armpit. Im seeing my doctor later today but I curious on others thoughts and experiences. I had my top surgery yesterday morning and this pic was taken today. Im worried it is blood under the skin or an infection but i hope it is just a bruise.
