If you like Love Is Blind but aren't watching the international versions, you are missing out!

I've watched a few versions. Just finished episode 1 of the Netherlands version and DAAAANG. The last 5 minutes were heartbreaking.

Is anyone else watching LIB Netherlands? Which version should I watch next?

[IL] Am I expecting too much of our HR Manager?

200 employees. 3 levels of management. HR has three employees - Manager, Analyst, Assistant.

From my prior work experiences, I had a certain expectation regarding what to expect from those roles. The two latter positions work very hard. It seems like the Manager tries to avoid doing work at all.

Over the last 6 months, 4 employees have faced internal investigations for various issues. When we would ask the HR Manager direct questions about if they needed to be placed on leave, how to conduct the investigation, who should handle the interviews, etc. - they would always say it wasn't something they handled and that managers in the employees' departments were responsible for all of that. They excluded themselves from the process almost entirely.

We recently had an issue between two employees whose personalities clashed during disagreements. I reached out to HR to request mediation and told they can't do that.

More recently, upper management realized that no one in the company had received job descriptions. When we requested job descriptions from the HR Manager to distribute, they had errors that required correction. For example, one job description labeled a non-exempt job as exempt. Another had wrong pay rates. A third listed requirements that are not correct. When the errors were brought to their attention, they dismissed it as minor, said it could be edited, and resent new versions.

When asked for the company's approved annual review documents, the HR Manager provided three different files, and said it was up to managers to decide what to use.

To me, an HR Manager should be able to provide clear documents, advice and answers. They should be somewhat involved in basic discipline procedures and heavily involved in higher level discipline.

But maybe I'm incorrect. What are your thoughts? Am I expecting too much of our HR Manager? Or are they absolutely terrible and avoiding work?

Shawarma House literally "went the extra mile" for me.

Tonight, for a quick dinner, I ordered online from the Sharwarma House food truck near my house. On the way to pick it up, I got a call from their employee. They had a last minute change to Konkel Park, so they weren't parked in their normal spot.

When I got to the new location, Konkel Park was full of people.for an event. It was impossible to find a place to park. I was also getting super anxious because I hate crowds and I was going to have to walk through one to get to the truck. So I called him back, explained, and asked if I could cancel.

"Dont worry. You park at Meijer and I'll bring it to you", he said.

So I parked and waited - watching the cars to see which one he might be.

And then suddenly he appeared.

Yall...this man had walked and run over a mile with my food to get it to me. Now thats what I call amazing customer care.

Oh...and its still warm and delicious.

So if you're out and about tonight and want to grab something tasty from someone who literally "went the extra mile" for this customer-- the Shawarma House food truck is parked at Konkel Park.

Seatbelt Extender

Haven't flown in years. I expect i will need a seat belt extender. This is embarrassing for me.. What is the most inconspicuous manner that I can obtain one? Do I ask at the gate or when on board? Can I just buy my own?
