Today I finally said goodbye to my gold iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s been a fantastic phone all around! Theres been multiple times over the years where I’ve considered upgrading for one reason or another, and in late 2023 I decided to have a battery replacement and that held it out for a bit longer. Then in the summer of 2024 “side graded” to a green 13. And that was a great phone too but overtime going from 256gbs to 128gbs, sometimes it would be quite buggy, and battery life wasn’t as long as I’d thought. I still had the 11 Pro Max kept away as a memory, and then around January of this year a family member of mine maxed out the 64gb storage on their iPhone 11, so instead of them needing to buy another phone I offered to give them my 13 which had 128gbs and I’d bring out my old 11 Pro Max! It felt like getting to reunite with an old friend, it felt so good. The rounded edges, the wide camera, and the battery still was holding up well. Of course it has gotten much slower and that’s kind of what you expect. Everything was great until around 3 months ago where the charge port had this consistent issue where when you plug it in it would have the bolt but then just not charge. And it would take multiple tries and essentially angle the phone up with the port in so that it would take charge. At first it was fine. But then it got really annoying to waste 2-3 minutes each time just trying to get it to charge and not discharge. And I think it’s also kind of just time to move on. The base 17 from everything that I’ve seen seems like a fantastic phone, and it’s great that the base storage is also 256gbs. So yesterday, I went to the Apple Store and picked up a Mist Blue 17 and transferred everything over and have traded in the old 11 Pro Max. I’ll miss it. But now, hello iPhone 17!

It’s a beautiful twilight blue and beige color combo, and the fantastic silver 7 spoke aluminum wheels!

I explored a new trail today, the Skyline Ridge Trail! Got to drive my Model S on skyline again as well and it was absolutely lovely.

Not a very good picture but it drove by and I freaked out when I realized what it was!! It looked pretty RAD!!

This was at the Fremont Service center! Made my day :))

Got my red 1/18th scale P85 today and thought it would be fun to take a few pictures with the real thing, and the 1/64th hot wheels as well!

Nothing like finishing a busy week of work and enjoying the day near the coast with my Model S Signature! I also rarely open the sunroof (scared of it breaking) but the weather was so nice not to! We took the back roads on Skyline Blvd on the way back and stopped by Alice’s as well, very fun. Lots of fog and mist!

Last night 2026.26.1 was beamed to my 2012 Model S Signature and it’s currently being downloaded. I’ve had the car now for nearly 3 months and have had 5 software updates sent to the car, this one being one of the more significant ones for what it is (minor compared to the newer cars).

- Security Improvements

It still amazes me how forward thinking Tesla was and for a 14 year old vehicle to still get supported and receive sometimes minor but software updates like a brand new Model Y is amazing!

I freaked out so hard after I got close at the light to it and noticed the etching and side signals! I’ve only seen two other founder series prior to this, and both were signature reds (not silver!). Thought it was very cool to see and having a founder and an Sig rolling down the road with each other was neat!

While pulling into the charger in Santa Clara tonight I got to check out a Model Y L! At first I just noticed that the car had the same wheels from the Model Y L, and once I plugged in and walked around it I realized it was actually a Model Y L!
