I am type 1, MDI, and usually (pre-pregnancy) have an A1C of mid 6’s. Well, I’m 19&5 today and I got my A1C back from earlier this week and I was excited to see I’m 5.6 or “within normal pancreas limits” as I told my husband and bestie. I’m also 77% in range for the pregnancy parameters they’ve set me of 64-140, overall I’m feeling pretty good about my handle on things. I know it just gets more rough from here tho, so I’m ready for whatever adjustments I need! (Second pregnancy).
Anyways, I sent this to my bestie and she said I had “gestational un-diabetes” and I laughed out loud.
How is everyone feeling? Any victories anyone wants to boast about with me? 😌✨

A few months ago, after a long day, my little (4F) asked me for a snack after I had *literally* just sat down. Out of pure exhaustion, and a maybe a little bit of hysteria, I called out “hey smart house, make ‘BananaPants’ a peanut butter sandwich!” And then sat there expectantly for a second while BananaPants herself just looked at me like I’d grown a 2nd head.
Anyways, today out of the blue BananaPants said “hey mom, remember when you asked the house to make me a sandwich? That was funny”. And I laughed and then tried to explain how it was mommies first experience with AI. 😂
