[iOS] [$49.99 → FREE Lifetime] SnapLapse – Track Progress Through Photos

Hi everyone,

So many things in life change little by little, and it’s easy to miss the progress when you see them every day. I built SnapLapse as a simple way to capture those small changes through photos and look back at how far things have come.

Whether it’s a pet growing up, a plant thriving, a renovation taking shape, a fitness journey, or a creative project, SnapLapse helps turn those individual photos into a visual journey.

SnapLapse Pro Lifetime is free until August 23 (normally $49.99 USD).

SnapLapse lets you:

• Create private photo journeys for fitness, recovery, pets, plants, renovations, handcrafts, creative projects, or anything else that changes over time

• Compare any two photos with an interactive before/after slider

• Use your previous photo as a ghost layer to line up your next shot and keep progress photos consistent

• Turn your journey into timeline collages, MP4 slideshows, and animated GIFs

• Add dates, notes, and milestones

• Keep your photo journeys stored locally on your device, with optional iCloud backup

How to claim it:

  1. Download SnapLapse from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6791902298?pt=128607157&ct=raga&mt=8
  2. After onboarding, you’ll see the paywall.
  3. Select Lifetime. It should show $0.00 during the promotion.

Small asks:

  1. Please upvote this post to help more people find the giveaway.
  2. If you enjoy the app, an honest rating or review on the App Store would be hugely appreciated.

I’d also love to hear what you’re tracking with SnapLapse, or anything that feels confusing, missing, or could be better.

Hope you enjoy it!

Almost ten years

She was tiny and unsure on her first day home. Now she's almost ten and she still gives me those “puppy eyes” whenever treats are involved 😂

I made SnapLapse, a journal-style photo progress tracker

Hey r/apps, I’m the indie developer behind SnapLapse.

I built the app because progress photos tend to disappear into the camera roll, making it difficult to see how something has changed over weeks or months.

SnapLapse organizes your photos into visual journeys. You can:

- Keep a chronological visual timeline with optional notes and milestones

- Use a ghost-camera guide to align each new photo consistently

- Compare any two photos with an interactive slider

- Export a journey as a video, GIF, or stitched image

You could use it to track growing plants, fitness progress, art projects, renovations, hair growth, pets, baby bumps, or anything else that evolves over time.

App Store links: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6791902298

I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback, especially on the idea, the features, and whether the first-time experience feels clear. Thank you! ❤️

I built a progress journal to track changes with photos, would love honest feedback

I have always loved taking photos of my kid growing up, our renovation projects, and even the changing appearance of the tree in our front yard throughout the seasons. So I made SnapLapse to keep these individual moments organized while connecting them into meaningful stories.

SnapLapse organizes photos into visual journeys with optional notes and milestone tags. I designed it to feel more like opening a beautiful scrapbook than checking a progress dashboard.

It also includes tools that make documenting change easier:

- Overlay your previous photo in the camera to maintain consistent framing.

- Compare any two photos using a draggable slider.

- Export a journey as a video, GIF, or stitched image.

Everything is stored privately on your device, with optional backup to your personal iCloud storage. No account or sign-in is required.

The free version includes one journey. SnapLapse Pro unlocks unlimited journeys, photo stitching, slideshows, and backups. Subscription plans include a 7-day free trial.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/snaplapse-progress-journal/id6791902298

I would genuinely appreciate any honest feedback, positive or critical. I will be around to answer questions and hear your thoughts.

Does listening to music on a phone count as screen time?

My three-year-old has recently become obsessed with music. I gave him an old phone to listen to Spotify, and since the screen is locked, he can only play, pause, or skip songs. The lock screen just shows the album artwork with no animations. He loves looking at the album covers, and the phone is pretty much the first thing he asks for when he wakes up in the morning.

I know there's evidence that too much TV can overstimulate young children and affect their attention. I'm just not sure whether listening to music while looking at a static album cover on a phone really falls into the same category of screen time. He seems a bit too attached to it, and I'm wondering if I should be setting more limits.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? How did you handle it?

[iOS] [Lifetime $5.99 → FREE] KeepProof – Visual Receipt & Warranty Manager

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo dev, and I recently released my first app, KeepProof.

I originally built it because I was frustrated with losing receipts, forgetting voucher valid dates, and having no easy way to know which products were still covered when something broke.

Most receipt apps focus on storing documents. I wanted something more visual. With KeepProof, every item is represented by a photo, so instead of scrolling through a list of PDFs or receipts, you can quickly see all the products you own and instantly identify which ones are still under warranty.

What KeepProof does

✅ Store receipts digitally

✅ Track warranty expiry dates

✅ Organise purchases with photos

✅ Quickly see which items are still under warranty

✅ Search and browse visually

More uses

KeepProof can also be used for things beyond receipts:

✅ Membership cards

✅ Gift cards

✅ Vouchers

✅ Subscriptions

Anything you want to keep handy and organised visually.

Free for a limited time

🎉 Lifetime Premium: FREE (normally $5.99)

📅 Ends: June 28

How to claim your free access

  1. Download KeepProof from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/keepproof-receipt-warranty/id6760290131

  2. Open the paywall by tapping the status banner at the top of the Settings page (it will initially show "Free version"), then select "One-Time" purchase. It will be free ($0) during the promo period.

  3. The status banner should now show "Premium". Enjoy!

I'd really appreciate an upvote ⬆️ so more people can discover the post.

And if you find the app useful, an App Store review means the world to a solo dev ❤️

Thank you for checking it out, and I'm happy to answer any questions or hear any suggestions in the comments.
