E.a. banned me to bypass GDPR request? Need advice
- The Beginning (2019)
In March 2019, I bought Apex Legends on PlayStation. Using the PSN ID Hrc_Tequilla (previously Hrc_prooffe and Prooffe96), I built a legitimate Level 500 account complete with heirlooms, rare skins, badges, battle passes, and thousands of hours of gameplay. Since 2019, I’ve never received a single ban or sanction. - How It All Went Wrong (2021-2023)
In 2021-2022, I bought a PC and created a new EA account (cross-progression didn’t exist back then).
Around 2023, right when cross-progression launched, everything went to shit: my PSN account got linked to the wrong EA account. All my original progress, purchases, and cosmetics got detached and vanished into the void. - Two Years of EA Help Hell (2023 – November 2025)
For more than two years, I tried to resolve the issue through EA Help.
Every single time it was the same bullshit instructions: unlink, wait 24-48 hours, relink. Nothing ever worked.
Whenever I brought up my GDPR rights as an EU citizen from Belgium and asked for escalation, the chats got abruptly closed or straight-up ignored. - Formal GDPR Request (November 20, 2025)
Eventually, on November 20, 2025, I filed an official rectification request under GDPR (Articles 12, 16, and 18). - EA Confirms Everything… and Does Nothing (November 2025)
EA employees Riz and Lucas confirmed in writing that they had located my PSN Hrc_Tequilla in their historical records. They literally stated that my original data still existed on the correct EA account and that they could begin the verification process to restore it.
I responded right away: “I am ready for all verification steps.”
After that… radio silence. No email, no instructions, no follow-up — nothing, even as the legal 1-month GDPR deadline was about to expire. - The Ban Drops (November 30, 2025)
On November 30, 2025 — while my GDPR request was still active and the December 20 deadline hadn’t passed — I suddenly got hit with a permanent ban (Request-2820450).
This ban now blocks everything: I can’t unlink the PSN anymore or finish the recovery process. - The Official Ban Notification (May 19, 2026)
Months later, EA finally sent an official notice with basically zero evidence: one vague log line (“type: ban”) and a completely wrong mention of “Nintendo Switch” as the platform, even though I only play on PC. - Extra Proof of Retaliation and Censorship
• Today (May 20, 2026) I was fully banned from the entire EA Forum (forums.ea.com) right after I posted my full story there. - Current Situation
I’m now trapped in a vicious circle: EA claims they can’t restore my account while the ban is active, but the ban itself looks like a direct retaliation for my GDPR request.
This is pure retaliation. Instead of fixing my data as they’re legally required to, they’re just locking me out completely.
I have all the evidence: complete chat logs with EA, official documents, transaction proofs for every PSN purchase since 2019, and EA’s own data report.
This isn’t a normal support ticket anymore. This is a blatant GDPR violation, obstruction, and retaliation by a huge corporation against an ordinary gamer who just wants his own account, data, and purchases back.
