10/10 Experience

just hit credits with two friends. unreal experience. never played anything like it.

I’m big into puzzle games, so I was pumped when we started to play. lots of learning experiences, but tons of fun.

I’ll never forget the final moments of this game.

Big Walk is a 10/10 Puzzle Game IMO

Just hit credits with two friends. Unreal. Never played a co-op game like it. Puzzles all couched in communication with friends? Unbelievably fun.

It’s minimum 2-player co-op, but it goes up to 4+. If you got a pal (who does or doesn’t like puzzle games, I don’t think being a puzzle game fan is a pre-requisite here) and want to knock out a fun handful of hours in a open world cozy puzzle game, then Big Walk needs to be at the top of your list.

It IS a coaching problem

sure would be nice to have three time outs at the end of the game here.

sure would be nice to not have 10+ penalties in multiple games when we’re only a quarter of the way through the season.

sure would be nice to have a half-way decent offense when we have an offensively minded HC

sure would be nice if we fired Sonny Dykes!

I mean it’s obvious: Sonny Dykes is on the hot seat

all the problems that have plagued this team for the past few years continue to surface.

something like 11 penalties? that’s a discipline issue, that’s a coaching issue. and I cannot STAND that Dykes chews out the refs more than the players getting deserved penalties.

it’s poetic that the game ended on a penalty, it’s just par for the course.

i think it’s time TCU moves off of Dykes. it’s a mess. maybe we get to 9 wins again this year, but I’m tired of mediocrity, I’m tired of us shooting ourselves in the foot. Fire Sonny Dykes!!!

If you don’t like PvP, you’re not missing out on Duskbloods

tbh, I don’t think you could even call Duskbloods a Soulslike, it’s got nothing in common with Dark Souls other than the studio and the fact that R1 is your light attack and R2 is your heavy (or wherever the buttons are actually called on Switch 2).

But that’s not what this is ultimately about. I’ve been on the Duskbloods network tests and while they market it as a PvPvE, which it technically is, it’s heavy on the PvP. Some folks will really like that! No judgement there, it’s going to appeal to a lot of folks.

But if PvP isn’t your jam, you’re not going to like Duskbloods. I like Soulslike games for the boss fights, and bosses are definitely not the focus (or even the meta) in Duskbloods, which is def a bummer because I really wanted to like it but I’m just not a big PvP guy.

Patrick’s Parabox is my first 10/10 puzzle game

Felt compelled to share that I think Patrick’s Parabox is a 10/10, and while I love puzzle games and have played my fair share, it’s the first time I ever felt like a puzzle game was a 10/10.

My shortlist of favs include Talos Principle, The Witness, Blue Prince, Portal 1+2, and really any deduction game like Return of the Obra Dinn, but those almost don’t fit into “puzzle” game territory. There’s plenty of others I’ve tried, but those are def my favs.

Patrick’s Parabox takes the cake. Super simple art design that gives way to extremely satisfying and difficult puzzles. The way it builds upon its mechanics is unmatched imo. If you haven’t checked it out, I think it’s a must play for puzzle game fans.
