I did a thing!

Hey all, I recently bought a 41mm TSAR on rubber and Im over the moon with it, bloody fantastic watch I cant fault it.

I really wanted the steel bracelet from factory but just couldn’t justify the price and I really wanted a micro adjustment on the clast. Which made the decision even clearer, Ill buy the rubber and get an aftermarket bracelet.

I opted for a Gnomon ‘matathon mod’ and today it came in the mail.

Its neat, the micro adjustments are good, the finishing also good, solid end links and screw pins on the bracelet links, the clasp, full brushed but boring.

I decided to have a go at Electro etching a marathon logo into the brushed clasp and here’s the results.

I expected the steel to react a little differently than what transpired but Im very satisfied with the results. Its a bit deeper than expected and slightly uneven pitting but pretty cool what u can do with a few bucks of material!

It has arrived! My First Marathon!

After months of research and even more months of paying this bad boy off I happily received my TSAR NGM In 41mm!

The finish and all round quality is a lot higher than expected. Just a beast of a watch! Thinking about throwing it on the longer rubber strap so I get a bit more strap through the keepers. At the moment its just long enough to poke through the keepers.

Going to buy a Gonomon bracelet in the next couple days to compliment the steel case and give it a bit more omph!

[ Edit: Just made the purchase of the GNOMON Bracelet! ]

Shout out to all the peeps who helped me decide which Marathon to lean towards!

Looking forward to many years of service with the TSAR!

Valheim on the Steam deck, Best controller binds that work for you?

Hello fellow Valheim players, this question is for steam deck users and also controller users mainly so here goes.

What key binds if any made the experience smoother and more intuitive for you?

Im having trouble wrapping my head around it and finding the standard key binds a bit counter intuitive, is there a rated steam deck community controller profile or just a few ‘must haves’ when it comes to key binds?

Some insight into other players thoughts would be much appreciated!

LARGE Arctic TSAR or GSAR? Which do you choose and why?

Hello all, I've fallen down the watch collecting hobby over the past couple years, I have a few relatively cheap automatics in the collection and a couple digital G-shocks too, I'm looking to clear them all out and stick to a one watch to rule them all approach.

Might I keep a Single digital G as an absolute beater but for 99 percent of the time I'm looking to rock the Marathon, question is do I go the quartz and save the hassle of time setting and have a more robust GADA or tickle that Horology itch with the Auto?

Just thinking out loud and would appreciate some of your opinions and experiences.

PS looking at the Large TSAR or GSAR in Arctic white on rubber. Cheers fellas.

Ive been looking for a new watch and came across the vintage style Sieko. Both have grabbed my attention and Im just stuck figuring out which one talks to me more.

One day I would like a Beads of rice or a Scales bracelet and a couple colours of sailcloth and rubber.

So Im asking you guys and gals which of these two would you buy/wear and or own?

The SPB143 is the watch on the left and SPB253 on the right.
