The German Greens have officially distanced themselves from the Green Party of England and Wales over its "Zionism is Racism" resolution. translated: "This resolution contradicts the principles of the European Green Party (EGP), which is committed to a two-state solution and peaceful coexistence in Israel and Palestine. The resolution also runs counter to our convictions and core values as Bündnis 90/Die Grünen: we stand firmly for Israel's right to exist.. » The EGP brings together 39 independent Green parties. We welcome the fact that the GPEW will soon lose its voting rights in the European Green Party in any case."
Today I've resigned as Coordinator of my local Green Party.
I've poured so much into this party over the years. Evenings, weekends, campaigning, organising. I've genuinely given it everything.
I could stay quiet and sit on the sidelines, but that's just not me. If I think something is wrong, I'll say it.
Since speaking out I've had hundreds of abusive and threatening messages. Some are serious enough that I'll be taking them to the police.
And to people in the party who have the same concerns as me, please don't stay silent. Speak up. It matters.
I'm genuinely gutted it's come to this, but I have to stand by what I believe.

We support the Government's message on this and would strongly advise against having bonfires, fireworks, campfires or disposable BBQs during this period. Fires can spread quickly and become difficult to control, putting your home and neighbouring properties at risk.
