I’m an avid reader (multiple novels a month) looking to switch from phone reading to a Kindle to fix bad eye strain.....

I know I'll actually use it a lot given my reading habits!!!

Someone suggested I buy a second-hand Kindle first just to try it out, but the used ones I'm finding are still around 5k-6k, and they are mostly older models like the 6th or 7th gen....

I'm also concerned because Amazon has already ended support for models up to Gen 5, so I'm wondering if Gen 6-7 might lose support in the near future as well...

Would it still be worth buying a used older Kindle, or is it better to spend more and get a new Paperwhite that will last longer????

I don't plan on buying many books from the Kindle Store (mostly sideloading epubs)

Hey can anyone tell me if I can download epub from Google/telegram and then read it in kindle??? I am not planning to purchase any book from it..just read epubs I download form Google.

Can we talk about how badly fiction handles introverted FMCs? Because I’m tired of it. I think I have never read a good story with a genuine introverted character especially fmcs...most of the time the authors confuse introversion with shyness & being"sanskari"!!!!! 😮‍💨

The “introverted” main character is almost always just a lonely girl waiting to be unlocked by the right person… like introversion is some kind of damage that needs fixing. Or she’s written as an extremely “sanskari,” naive girl who can’t even take a stand for herself.

And the shyness thing? Shyness, loneliness, and introversion are NOT the same thing.

Shyness is social anxiety.

Loneliness is a state of lack.

Introversion is just how you’re wired.

You can be introverted and still be warm, socially fluent, emotionally expressive, and completely fulfilled in your own company.

The moment the love interest shows up and she magically “comes out of her shell,” that’s not character development ..that’s the author not understanding introversion.

An actually introverted character would still prefer a quiet evening alone even when she has people who love her. She’d need to decompress after a party she genuinely enjoyed. She wouldn’t sit in solitude feeling sorry for herself ... she’d just exist comfortably in it.

And introverted people DO have friends!!!!!😭

They party with their close-knit circle, laugh loudly, yap for hours, and then disappear for three business days to recharge....

Anyway if you have any good recommendations then please suggest!!!

As an INFJ ,is it hard for you to make new friends???

It has always been hard for me to form a bond with others..but once they get to know me & spend time with me then I get really good friends....but initially even if other ppl do like me or feel at ease with me I can't just make them my friend!!! Do other INFJs also struggle with that??

As for relationships,I have never been in one (23F).. what many ppl find very shocking..& I have never even had a crush on other person...I do like others but it's more like admiring them...it takes a lot in me to actually like someone genuinely!!! It's never insta crush .....is it an INFJ trait???

(P.s - I am new to the sub so I don't really know much about MBTI personalities)

I have recently seen many reels about how every online platform(other than nykaa) sells fake products ...is it true?? Or is it a marketing tactic of the app??
