What if China didn’t invade India in 1962 for a barren desert where the only use is the Tibet Xinjiang highway and made a deeply pacifist country into an active military threat right on the border ?
Add to that India - Sino relationship was at all time high of “ Hindi Chinni Bhai Bhai “ era where India likely would have made a deal to let china use the land anyway like the open border with Nepal . In doing so , deeply changed the equation of Indian stance of peaceful Asian co existence and changed a pacifist country to overhaul its military , become nuclear and permanent threat on the border . Common misconception people have about India became nuclear because of Pakistan , it was due to this war and because of India getting nuclear , Pakistan became nuclear changing the continent on looming nuclear winter ever since .
