I’ll cast this question here, I was raised where a sweeter onion was flat & not pointed or tapered on end? A purple “ Bermuda” onion was that of choice by my mother . Big thick slice on a char grilled burger .
I often wondered if a yellow onion of a sweeter variety was force fed gibberellic acid to increase the water in its cellular structure.dilute the onion so to speak .
Anyway , flat versus pointed onions ?
