Key Points

  • Micron recently announced 16 multiyear deals with customers; contracts of that duration are unprecedented in the memory-chip industry.
  • Several analysts raised forward earnings estimates, and the consensus says Micron's earnings will grow at 168% annually through fiscal 2027.
  • Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says the current memory-chip supply shortage will persist for several years due to immense demand for AI infrastructure.

Down $30,000 in the last day

In just these last two days I'm down 30k, 60% mu, 40% sandisk.

After blowout earnings, this is very maddening.

I sold Microsoft and so should you

I sold my position in Microosft, Nvidia, and Netflix after losing tens of thousands over many months.

The bounce that you see now is just a dead cat bounce. The sooner you rotate out of these "legacy" stocks, the more money you will save. What worked in the past just doesn't work anymore. This market no longer values quality and value. Look at Berkshire Hathaway, it's been dead for years.

Microsoft is no longer the capital-light, high-margin company that it was. It's burning money at unsustainable rates to chase its competitors in a game with no winners.

The money they spend is flowing into memory and chips. That's where the real money is going to be made. I already am up a lot since investing in Micron, and highly recommend that you allocate at least 70% of your MSFT into MU and SNDK. MU just reported blockbuster earnings, and the stock will take off once it finishes consolidating. The stock has not taken off after earnings due to several reasons, but the back half of this year looks promising, and the stock could double.

I highly doubt MSFT. META, NFLX, etc will be the new leaders of the next generation, just like IBM, CISCO, and AOL failed to keep up and were replaced by newer technology. Don't pin your hopes on thsese stocks recovering, follow the money they are spending on.

I bought 80k of Sandisk

I am still holding 130K of Micron, and wanted to buy the dip. However, it just seems that Sandisk eclipses Micron when there is a positive move. Case in point, when Sandisk went up 20%+ after Micron's earnings, where Micron "just" went up 15%. Historically, Sandisk has performed better.

In any case, instead of adding another 80k in Micron, I think it's good to diversify.

Another reason I chose Sandisk is because earnings is a few weeks away, and both Sandisk and Micron will run up leading to that event, but Sandisk I think, will go crazy.

I am almost certain I will not be holding through earnings, as this time I think there will be a major dump. I may exit my positions in memory at that point and invest in the QQQ or something much less volatile. I think memory and chips have still have plentry of room to run, but we're getting into the midstage of the cycle, and the risk/reward ratio is beginning to become less favorable.

Inflation comes in as expected: Maerket will not be dragged down

Good news: Micron will not face headwinds by bad inflation numbers, will be free to rip!

In May, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers rose 0.5 percent, seasonally adjusted, and rose 4.2 percent over the last 12 months, not seasonally adjusted. The index for all items less food and energy increased 0.2 percent in May (SA); up 2.9 percent over the year (NSA).

SK Hynix coming to Nasdaq July 10!

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/25/chip-tech-stocks-sk-hynix-nasdaq-adr-listing-29-billion-ai-investment.html

SK Hynix is a Korean memory chip company, like Micron. It will be available for purchase on July 10 in the US.

The great news is that we now know how strong demand for memory is. Also, this company has an excellent valuation: PE is only 24, and forward PE is 8.

I think it would be wise to own both Micron and SK Hynix. I plan to add to my portfolio, maybe 50/50.

Tomorrow's inflation report

https://www.investopedia.com/pce-preview-may-2026-12005576

Infatiion expected to continue to rise. 4.1% year over year headline, core 3.4%

The market is pricing this in, exerting a downward pressure on stocks.

Believe it or not, the stock market is doing horrendously. SAAS stocks such as Intuit, Adobe, Salesforce, Service Now, etc are being cut in half or even up to 70%. The mag 7 are stagnant or dying. MSFT, NFLX, META are absolutely dying. Even growth stocks sucha as NVDA and Broadcom are stagnant.

If you take away the top 20 to 30 performing stocks in the S&P, the other stocks are almost flat.

This is a K-shaped stock market, where the upper 1% are flourishing.

The point is, we are so lucky to be in the hottest stock in the market.

Micron might close 30% up tomorrow, at least 20%

Already up 15% aftermarket. Everyone said that it woud tank, and that everything was priced in. Only a few people agreed with me.
