Well here he is, the final model (until something else catches my eye) in my successor chapter.

I decided against a freehand banner because I couldn't be arsed. But I like what I've come up with in transfers...

I especially like how the leather on the cloak turned out after watching a video suggestion on my previous post.

Help with banner and leather cloak

So I'm painting up this dude as my successor chapter's Chapter Master / Crucible Champion. I've gotten most of it finished except two major areas the large leather cloak and the banner.

I was thinking of doing a raven head on the banner but I've never done freehand before and am terrified of mucking it up. Can anyone point me to a guide on doing such a thing?

Also with his cloak, I was going to do a brown leather cloak. Anyone got any good recipes for well worn brown leather?

Plus, might look a bit bare with it being such a large surface area. Anyone have any tips on what I could do to maybe break up the brown?

Thanks.

No one told me how finicky Necrons were to put together.

I didn't know the parts were so fragile... I may have accidentally ripped a Skelly-boy in half and snapped another's wrists.

Good thing their reanimation protocols were so deeply ingrained in my memory engrams... i.e. I'm experienced enough to fix them up.
