Any tips for cramps?

I was going down a steep hill when out of nowhere my left calf started cramping. I was lucky enough I was on a not so steep segment of the trail, since I was going down fast so somehow I managed to stop and sit down for a bit. It lasted maybe 3-5 min I took some electrolyte fastchews and went down slower. Just when I thought I was alright my right calf began cramping too. Never in my whole life doing trail I’ve experienced this… I was shocked and a bit worried. I thought it might have been dehydration, but I had taken plenty of water and electrolytes beforehand and during my run. The only thing that changed in my routine was that I tied my shoes a bit tighter, could that have been the reason?

Nevertheless my trail session turned into a hike after that I was alright.

Some shots of my recovery trail run today

Did some very light running (more like power hike) today. Felt really good to be back and enjoy this places. I think that’s what makes trail running so enjoyable, being immerse in nature is truly one of the greatest privileges one can have.

Just finished my first trail running race since coming back from an injury 🤙

Just finished my first race since last year. Pace was meh and I still had to push through some pain. I couldn’t finish strong since i started to get a cramp on my right calf.

At this point after everything, I fear it’ll always come back no matter how hard I try to get better.

Yesterday’s trail session turned into a swimming session 🏊‍♀️

We’ve been getting huge amounts of rain this last months in northern Mexico. It’s weird considering we went through a drought like 3 years ago… I felt incredibly grateful and happy to see our rivers and streams flowing with water.

I spotted this spider in “La Estanzuela” national park in Monterrey, Northern Mexico.

I spotted this little guy in La Estanzuela national park in Monterrey. I specifically spotted this spider at the Calabozo stream. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what kind of species this is. It kind of looks like a tarantula to me, but it’s not big enough and its legs aren’t as fat as a tarantula’s.

Any solo camping tips for Scotland

Hello everyone! I’m planning to do trekking trip to Scotland. I was wondering in any of you got any tips and suggestions in gear and safety. I’ve done my research regarding the best season to visit and all that. But I still can’t decide which trail to follow, I know the west highland way is a popular one. But I was curious if anyone got other interesting trails to do.

Thank you for reading me!
