Just an appreciation post with a little bit of venting on how the world has slept on these girls. I’m always seeing people talk down on LM with all the katseye drama and comparison on X. Somehow people always discredit little mix and it makes me so sad given how talented these girls were. They deserved more success than any of these other popular groups and will always be the best group in my opinion.

Let’s liven this group up a bit. The beginning stages will always be in the top 3 eras for me. I just loved how it was a little slow burn from “enemies” to friends to lovers. I would have loved it to be even longer because it was truly magical. Honestly, 2024, their chemistry was electric. Then came the Rob storyline and the doom and gloom just never ended, though I did love seeing Lisa look after Carla. We really need to see more of that. Another favourite era would be when they both were wanting to propose. It was super cute, and then when Lisa proposed, that short moment after the engagement was bittersweet too. I’d say their married period is my favourite, but I feel we haven’t seen enough of it. Trying to think of more, but I’m blanking. What’s your favourite?

So I’ve been seeing lots of clips of the flat and all the memories there, and it’s been making me reminisce on old Swarla moments. Mind you, it hasn’t been that long, but it feels like a lifetime ago. My question is, if you had to choose between the flat or No. 6, which would you choose? I love the house and how cute it looks, but the flat holds some of my favourite Swarla memories.

Okay, my caption is dramatic, but we have a 2-week drought coming up, and I’m disappointed in how they are doing this whole Betsy SL. Weeks of absence, and then what? We’re magically going to see her improved and well again? I honestly thought this was meant to be a big storyline that was going to have them be on our screens for weeks, but it’s the same story as usual. We’ve basically not seen Lisa by her daughter’s side at all, nor have we seen Carla and Lisa talk about this. I can’t believe for a second that Lisa wouldn’t have gotten off work. I know she loves her job and has to work, but there’s no way she wouldn’t have taken some time off. It’s just not believable. What’s the point of bringing awareness if you aren’t going to show the important stuff? There’s so much we haven’t seen and it’s extremely infuriating. What are your thoughts? I swear the writers only want to throw Lisa into cases and don’t care about her role as a mother or wife.

The way Carla loves Betsy. That’s her daughter, I’m sorry. I just love their relationship so much. The way Carla immediately covered Betsy with the blanket. Honestly, they’re one of my favourite relationships. I just love Carla in protective mama bear mode. And the way Betsy said, “She left me on my own for ages.” 😭 was so sad. Honestly, Sydney is making me feel all the emotions. Also, Carla’s hair flip and the way she said, “I said get out” was so hot. Why does she look so good when she’s angry. Moving on to Lauren. Why the hell did she leave Betsy alone ?That’s absolutely insane.

I understand both POVs, but I genuinely think Lisa needs to listen to Betsy more. I know she's stressed, and that's her baby, so she's obviously not going to forgive and forget, but she's making Betsy more anxious, which isn't helping anyone. What do you think?
Also, Ryan was just trying to help, though he probably should have asked Lisa first. But then again, Betsy wanted Dylan there, and she is an adult, so…

Idk if I should do this for every Swarla episode, but I’m doing it anyway. What a nice episode, and how refreshing was it to see everyone outside? Nice to see them in the sun for a change. Carla looks so good today again, like I’m obsessed with her. The hand-holding and Lisa’s little apologies were so cute. Also, did you see Lisa checking out her wife as she was strutting away? Truly a refreshing episode, regardless of the circumstances. Betsy and Debbie’s scene was moving as well. So many good scenes today. Lauren was actually so funny as well.

How beautiful did our Carla look today? Oh, she was glowing. Roy and Carla by Betsy's side honestly made me so happy, and Carla in mommy mode... I just love how far their relationship has come. I love how much Carla loves and reassures Betsy. It's very special when you know she lost her baby girl, and in some ways, Betsy is the little girl she always wanted. Really cute scenes today. What did we think? Also, what's everyone's opinion on this storyline so far?

Oh man, this was a good episode. Ngl, it felt so weird to see Nick and Carla in a scene together. I bet he had deja vu or something. So the spoilers were wrong, no surprise there. I’m actually so happy they communicated like a healthy married couple. This has always been my favourite thing about them, and I hope we see more of them communicating so nicely. Carla for a sec thought Lisa might be against it, but she understood and was so nice about it. Way to go, Lisa. She’s really come so far. And the pet name "sweetheart" made me so giddy. God, I love them like this. The wife mentions were so nice. Just patiently waiting for the "my wife" mentions now.

Please, I need more Swarla moments and less of Kit. He’s boring me. Lisa being so nice to him is something I’ll never understand. I don’t hate Kit, but he bores me. Though we only got crumbs of swarla, anything is better than nothing. 🥰

I’m genuinely curious, what is it about Lisa that makes these people in that sub hate on her so intensely? I’ve never seen anyone else get her level of hate. It’s so bizarre. I mean, I wasn’t happy with Lisa during the Becky SL, as my heart was breaking for Carla, but even then she was being manipulated by her wife of 20 years. Besides that, they are always bringing up the Roy thing too.

I really hope the writers start focusing on Lisa’s family or something that gives us insight into who she is because I think the hate comes from the fact that people don’t see her as "human" and more like the lesbian copper that arrests everyone. They really need to develop Lisa outside of DS Swain because there’s so much to her, and I fear her being a DS takes away from the potential Lisa has.

Did not expect to see Carla in today’s episode, but I was so happy to see her again, and that wholesome family moment was my favourite part. I just love Betsy and Carla’s relationship, and the little digs they make at Lisa are so wholesome and cute.

Lisa arresting Sarah... good God, she has no business looking so sexy whilst arresting someone. The dramatic entrance had me cringe a bit. Like, why did they barge in like that? 😭

Also, I love that Lisa finally has a strong woman on her side who has already clocked Kit. I am confused about why Lisa still thinks of Kit as a good copper. Is that because he saved Carla? Because the man is not good, I’m sorry.

Sean, what the hell? Why did he go and plant that idea in Dylan’s head? I couldn’t even appreciate the little Swarla scene because that man made me so angry.
Lisa, you beauty, please stop. Why does she look so good even when she’s upset? They’re glowing. I wish I could just watch them doing absolutely nothing.

Loved Carla bringing Betsy her bunny and stepping into the wifey/mother role. I feel a little bad for Dylan. I don't think he meant any harm, and hopefully Lisa realises that. Even though I sympathise with the fact that it's her child and she's angry, she's been calling him all sorts of things when he's just as clueless. But idk, are we meant to hate him? And the Connie mention would you want Connie to come back? I'm sorry, I would 👀 And Lisa reporting him must have been so weird for her. What a mess. I wonder if this situation will end up going to trial probably not but it could be dragged out for months so what else is going to happen?

So what did we think? I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Amazing performances by everyone. I loved Ryan being involved. Lisa asking if they're cursed. 🤣 Sydney really excelled in this episode. I'm quite surprised by the reasoning behind the stroke. I did not think they’d go there. I'm also a little confused though. Did Dylan choke her because they were engaging in erotic asphyxiation, or have I misunderstood? If that's the case, surely he can't be blamed? It's definitely an uncomfortable topic. I also loved Swarla being a united front for their girl,but overall I really loved Ryan stepping up as the big brother. And where does Brody fit in?

Was not expecting to see them today, but anyway... this storyline is already making me anxious. That Police Widows Club mention better not be foreshadowing. I do think something's going to happen to Lisa as well. Maybe she ends up in hospital too, or is her taking pills just a red herring? Also, what was in Dylan's hand, and why would that prevent Betsy from going on future dates?
