I'm being framed for stealing and I have no way to prove my innocence, I feel like I'm going insane.

I (23 F) work in a small town mom and pop style coffee shop. I've been here since November and I honestly think I'm amazing at my job. I'm great at rushes, I'm learning latte art, and the customers love me (I know bc they've told me). I really, genuinely, love my job.

However, money has been missing from our deposit bags, and it seems to be happening whenever I count the drawers. We have a task list that we sign off, so everyone can see that I am the one closing the drawers when it's happening. Along with money being missing, the count slips are also disappearing, and people are starting to point fingers at me.

The problem is, there are no security cameras anywhere in the cafe, nor is there any real security system at all. There is also a door to a neighboring business that only locks from our side, so their people can walk into our cafe pretty much whenever they want.

We have a locked office where we put the bags after closing out the drawers, but the keys are super easy to find.

Now in case you're wondering- no, I did not take the money. I love my job, and I strongly do not support stealing from small businesses. But because there are no cameras, I have no way to prove it other than to just repeat that I don't know who is, but I know I did not and never have stolen from my job.

Multiple of us employees have been begging the owner to install cameras but she is refusing to, claiming that it wouldn't stop the thief and that she doesn't think we want to "have her watching us all the time".

I genuinely feel like I am going insane and I don't know what to do. I refuse to go down for something I KNOW I didn't do, but whoever is doing it is clearly trying to pin it onto me. I don't know why or who, and I have no way of finding out.

Anyways, that's my job life rn. Any advice would be appreciated, but please do not tell me to quit my job. In this economy, I need to take whatever I can get and I'm not letting go of this unless I genuinely have no other option.

Also, no I am not just that bad at math. I've been working cashier jobs for years and have never had these issues.
