I made it in anyways, BITCH! Very next game. I three-stocked him too, just like I did you. Now I'm sitting pretty with 26 characters in Elite Smash while you're throwing tantrums because you PAID for your S-tier character and still can't win.

I guess it should really be him making this post, but the rage and dread I felt when I thought I'd finally made it into Elite with Sheik, and then having it ripped out of my hands, was so insane. That character is like negative F tier online bro. I could have easily pulled a shit matchup right after and gone on a massive losing streak (I call it the Sheik classic lmao). But I clutched it, and I am so relieved to be done with that grind, and I feel so triumphant in spite of a sore loser who wanted to deny it from me.

Hey all. I need some help figuring this out because its driving me crazy. About a week ago, I started randomly disconnecting from matches very often. This is usually very rare for me: I can't even remember the last time I got DC'd before this. For so long it's always been my opponent that disconnects when the game freezes for a while and I end up fighting the CPU and get no GSP change.

Here's some relevant info if anybody would like to help me diagnose what is going on here:

It happens every 5-10 matches. Usually they're completely lag-less before the game suddenly freezes a minute or so in, the smash loading logo comes up for about 10 seconds or so, and then I'm stuck fighting a bot for about 20 or 30 seconds. Then a message pops up saying "A connection error has occured" and I'm kicked. For some reason, it happens every single time I match into a K. Rool, but it happens seemingly randomly against any opponent.

I have objectively great internet. I'm on a 1gig plan with a few-months-old router. I thought maybe this was happening since I was wireless, so I bought a LAN adapter and the issue hasn't stopped. I've restarted the switch multiple times, verified switch internet settings, deleted and reconnected my network on the switch, done speed tests to verify I was getting good connection, and even tested if other devices lost connection at the same time the switch disconnected (they don't).

My best bet at this point is that its because my stupid apartment complex forces us to use a stupid Xfinity Gateway. It was a pain in the ass to set up at first, but since then it's worked great without a hitch. Unfortunately my super nice router that I bought about a year ago at another apartment and loved is not compatible with the Xfinity garbage. I'm just really hoping its not that because I absolutely hate working with Xfinity's customer service, and the stupid AI bot you have to talk to for an hour before getting connected to a real person.

If anybody else has had this happen and has a solution, pleaseee help me out. I'm getting super tired of having 30 or 45 minute bans after an hour of playing despite having (until now) fantastic internet and trying everything I know how. Thanks.

I'm not talking about your average Spamus. I queued into the same fuckwad TWICE in an hour, and both times we played at about 0.5 frames per second. Genuinely we got 2 seconds of frozen loading time for each second of gameplay. Whole time this bitch is standing in the corner spamming his fucking stopmotion projectiles.

I 3 stocked his ass both times, but GODDAMN. If my internet was THAT shit, I wouldn't bother playing online. You're not even playing Smash Bros at that point. You're certainly not having any fun. Go play Paper Mario or some shit if you want a turn based game so bad

Awww do you feel so strong and so good at the game sitting at the ledge spamming up smash? Does it make you feel so smart to place your fuckass invisible mine on a platform and leave it there until your opponent forgets about it because they're keeping track of your thirty other projectiles? Aw you blew yourself up? I'm so sorry that your life is so hard as an S tier character. It must get so lonely over there on the other side of the stage spamming grenades all by yourself all match :( Poor baby. Do you feel left out because everyone else in the game gets a disadvantage state and you don't? So sad. So sad.
