On a scale of 1-10, how well designed is Venture's gameplay?

Some hate them, some say that they feel like an Overwatch 1 hero. What's your take on Venture?

Aatlis appreciation post

Most people dislike Flashpoint in general, but Aatlis is such a breath of fresh air from most of the Overwatch maps. It is unique in so many ways: the first point is awkward to maneouver for everyone, providing plenty cover and yet easy to go anywhere, the other points are full of tiny corridors, doors and corners. It is fast paced, constant focus and movement are favored, it's what Overwatch does best sometimes, and most games on Aatlis have been a blast so far. I wish we get more maps with personnality in the future

Is Vendetta still an Overhead bot?

Not anymore, Vendetta is for intelligent people now. What do you think?

On a scale of 1-10, how well designed is Wuyang's gameplay?

We may criticize his visual design and character, but his gameplay is certainly unique and *fresh*. Wtaer boy's primary focus and ingenuity revolves around Xuanxu Orb's power, the rest of his kit is controversial... what are your thoughts on him and how high would you rate him?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how well designed is Vendetta's gameplay?

She was a bold attempt at making a melee exclusive damage hero in overwatch, while it is commonly agreed on that her designs have flaws, what are your thoughts on her and how high would you rate her?

A simple idea to help Vendetta

The idea, plus an extra help:

  • Onslaught (the passive) includes the speed of her abilities as well.
  • Projected Edge (the projectile) is back at 80 damage.

Vendetta was hated by the community for how bursty, slippery and bulky she was, all of this while being very hard to escape from. She was the ideal suicide character: you go in, make a lot of noise, enemies spend ressources and you ultimately trade someone, which gives your team great advantages. The nerfs were more than justified, however they were too much for Vendetta has been very underperforming recently, only a few dedicated players manage to make her work on higher ranks.

The known issues:

  • She feels very squishy
  • She gets outbrawled very easily
  • She doesn't manage to pull out much pressure as a DPS

I'd argue that she isn't as bad as we make her out to be, her guard is really strong, her mobility is good and she still has interesting burst options. She needs a bit of help, that is undeniable, and the idea mentionned above, plus the little buff, would help her do her job better. It would be an elegant way to reward skilled and smart players who engage frequently, are opportunists while offering them more options to combo, instead of the duel goddess that she was.

The Onslaught passive currently increases by 5% per stack Vendetta's attack speed and 2% her movement speed, it also includes melee and Projected Edge, but not her abilities. The idea is to reward smart engages, to help her become a better opportunist and hit-and-run character, which she tends to be best at right now, which is a very interesting niche for her. Vendetta needs to be faster, her mobility is slow, she gets punished for simply doing her job, she is too unforgiving at the moment.

Projected Edge at 80 damage better rewards Vendetta players who actively reduce their defensive capabilities for doing damage. It is a sacrifice that is seldom worth it without the minor perk for how helpful Guard is.

What do y'all think about it? Share your ideas and thoughts :)
