Should I have a Roth IRA in addition to my employers sponsored 401k?

I’m new to all of this and need some help. I was let go from my job a few months ago, so I went ahead and opened up an IRA with Vanguard to move my previous employer 401k into. I’ve since found freelance work that will likely convert to full time in the next 6 months, so now I’m wondering if I should’ve just left it alone until I could transfer it to the new employer’s plan?

Or, should I convert the Vanguard one to Roth and contribute to it and the new employer’s plan separately? Would a Roth conversion be worth it to do now if my income at the new job is significantly higher than the old (so I’d be in a higher tax bracket)?

Looking for a handheld vacuum with a loooong extension for light cleaning

Vacuum experts please help, I’m looking for something sort of in between a stick vac and a hand vac. I’ve got a canister already, but I don’t like lugging it around to deal with small clumps of dust that catch my eyes in between major cleaning sessions. I don’t need a full stick vacuum and all its various attachments, but all the handvacs I can find don’t have any reach at all. I just want to be able to easily hoover up little messes without bending over.

The closest thing I’ve found is the old model of the shark wandvac, but it looks like the newer one ditched the long extension option? Would be very thankful for any suggestions

Just starting at 31 and feel like an idiot, pls advise

Recently lost my job when a private equity firm decided my division wasn’t doing enough to contribute to the shareholder’s yacht funds. I need to do something with my 401k, which is what triggered a deeper search into what I should be doing with my money generally.

Seems like I should transfer the 401k to a Roth IRA, but I’m confused about the steps in between- I need to go through a rollover or traditional IRA first to avoid taxes, is that correct?

I’ve got 20k just sitting in a regular savings account, which I’m thinking of moving to a money market fund with Vanguard. Is there a specific fund people recommend or should I just go with the highest yield? I’m seeing Federal MMF, Treasury MMF etc

Once I’ve got my IRA and MMF locked down, how should I invest moving forward? Should I just keep throwing any extra cash I have at the IRA or diversify further?

Rate my diet pls

Trying to eat healthier on a budget with the goal of losing some belly fat but still gaining muscle while working out.

Breakfast- 3 whole eggs scrambled, spread on 2 slices of whole grain toast

Lunch- 1 5oz tin of canned high-protein tuna mixed with some mayo, sriracha and diced cucumbers spread on another slice of whole grain toast

Dinner- 1 chicken breast, 1/2 cup brown rice and a healthy serving of broccoli/carrots

Snack- assorted fruit throughout the day

Are there any major nutrient groups I’m missing here? Any simple additions that could level things up? Any and all feedback is appreciated 🙏

Am I just fucked?

I was a junior editor at a certain major entertainment marketing agency until recently. Barely 6 months of experience under my belt. Do I have any chance at all of landing another job without a personal connection? Feels like nobody’s hiring and the ones that are want people with more experience. I don’t want to go back to assistant work but it’s starting to feel like my only option.
