Figo Grade 3. Stage 1B.

High grade endometrial carcinoma, consistent with endometrioid carcinoma FIGO grade 3 (30%), and clear cell carcinoma (70%)
Pelvic washing, lymph nodes, cervix, ovaries, tubes all negative for cancer cells.
All margins negative for carcinoma.

I’m 65, menopause started @ 60.
I had spotting, light bleeding for last 4.5 yrs.
Had one biopsy in 2021, came back negative for cancer, but said there were multiple fibroids, one was @degenerating” so that along w/atrophy could be causing the spotting.
If bleeding reoccurs, go see gyne dx again.
I never went back.
Confirmed endo cancer 6/18/26.
Had my robotic lapro total hysterectomy w/BPO & 2 lymph nodes 8/4/26.

Scheduled to see Onco doctor next on 8/19 to discuss path report & any treatment.

Have any of you ladies had a similar diagnosis & what was your treatment?

My grandmother died of breast cancer (1985) and I remember how she suffered horribly after getting chemo & radiation, it completely destroyed her.
I’m scared of those things so much that I’m seriously considering NOT doing anything else.
Just knowing that my surgeon was able to get it all out, I’m thinking if I can live another 5-10 yrs a good quality of life then that’s what I want for myself.
I don’t want poisons in my body.
For those that have had treatments, please convince me that it was totally beneficial for you & you don’t regret doing them.

Itching.

Had robotic laparoscopy total hysterectomy last week (8/4) and some of the incision sites ( I have 6) were/are covered w/that sticky surgical tape.
A few of them have fallen off (w/a little help from me:), but the remaining ones are still covered w/that tape & they’re ALL itching like crazy, driving me koo-koo!!
I can only rub them over my pajama top or whatever soft t-shirt I’m wearing but they continue to itch.
What is going on??
Have any of yall had this issue??
What did you do to relieve the itching??
How long will this go on?

Motel or lodgings that allow cats??

Looking for recommendations for a motel (senior who can’t do too many stairs) where I can park @ my door & walk into my room & stay overnight w/my cats.
From Astoria to Brookings, the entire coast, I’m not picky.
Will bring some bedsheets to cover the furniture with so as to avoid kitties leaving their cat hair around (I understand that can be an issue when pets stay in rooms).

Getting bowels to cooperate..

Had my robotic assisted laparoscopic total hysterectomy w/everything removed (uterine cancer) last Tuesday 8/4.
Urinating well & passing gas good too, but haven’t pooped yet.
Drank MiraLAX yesterday & was advised to drink it again today so hopefully that will help??
How long or how many days after surgery were you able to drop a bomb??
LOL.

Had robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy w/uterus, tubes, ovaries, cervix & some lymph nodes removed (due to uterine cancer) a few days ago. I’m home now & wondering on y’all deal w/the pain in your tummy when you have to cough?

I’m wearing a belly band which is helping some, but the pain from coughing is what I’m struggling with right now.
Doctor only prescribed 600 mg Motrin every 6 hrs & it’s not doing a whole lot.. btw I’m 65, & work part time as a petsitter.
I’m taking 3 weeks off from that but still have to care for my own pets & I live alone.

Questions..

Hello.

My surgery is scheduled for 8/4.

Never have had surgery requiring general anesthesia so I’m concerned about that.

I’ve had anterior hip replacement in 2023, but I had the choice of general or epidural block, I chose the epidural block & it worked out very well.

I’m 65 & BMI of 37.

I already have bloating in my stomach (I’m assuming from the mild liver swelling they found on an MRI & Cat scan).

I’m have robotic assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy with sentinel node biopsy, possible pelvic & periaortic lymphadenectomy.

Did you have to wash the day before surgery with an antibacterial body wash (I was instructed to do this for my hip surgery).

This hasn’t been mentioned anywhere in my chart or instructions from my onco nurse.

Also, do they “shave” you entirely for the surgery?

A friend who was hospitalized for heart issues, had to have a catheter & they shaved her.

Do they put that in when you’ve fallen asleep so you don’t feel it?

I always use deodorant (Dove antiperspirant/deodorant)under my breasts, pits & all along my abdominal apron (hanging belly) because I don’t get a rash.. been doing that for years.

Will they ask me to NOT wear any deodorant?

That’s going to very hard for me.

Do they remove the catheter while you’re still unconscious & before you wake up?

Also, how was your recovery?

Did you stick to a strict meds schedule to alleviate a lot of the pain?

How long before you were able to drive ?

I live alone w/6 cats & have no help.

I’ve already elevated litter boxes & feeding stations so I don’t have to bend.

I’ve purchased a belly pillow to keep on my stomach when I’m sitting on my sofa & sleeping.

What else do I need to do to help myself get thru this?

Any suggestions & answers are greatly appreciated 💖
