Period blood smells from eating onions. How long is normal?

Hi gals, never had this happen to me before so hoping for some insight from people who have

Sunday was the first day of my period And I ate a stew that was really high in onion and garlic and it made my period blood smell like onions. I looked it up and it says that it's normal and can last for a few days but when you guys have this happen how long does it usually last for you?

Is this normal?? I haven't eaten any more of that soup since and have tried to stay away from onions, but I'm still having an unusual smell to the blood. Its nowhere close to a strong, or oniony. Just different now, but still not good. It only stinks at night (I'm usually awake at night) not during the day at all.

I'm not having itching or burning so I don't think it's any of those normal problems

Any insight would be very appreciative!!
