Keeping Google reviews when relocating abroad. Are there any options?

I'm a location-independent service provider (no walk-in customers) relocating abroad soon. My Google Business Profile has 20 five-star reviews that matter a lot for my business, plus I have solid reviews on Fiverr.

The complication: right now I run a sole proprietorship in Germany, but at the new location the business will operate under a new entity (different legal form, different country). So it's not just a move, it's effectively a new company.

My open questions:

  1. Is there any way at all to "move" the existing profile or change the address instead of closing it and opening a new one, even though legally there's a new entity behind it?
  2. Can the profile be converted to a Service Area Business so the reviews are preserved?
  3. If the reviews can't be saved that way, is there any way to export/import Google reviews or carry them over to another platform (e.g. a review aggregator like ProvenExpert) or my own website and keep using them there?

Any real-world experience appreciated. Thank you!

Strong niche link opportunity: homepage or city-specific money page?

Hey folks, would love some outside perspective on this one.

I run a small service business, fully remote, targeting clients in specific German cities through city-specific landing pages (city-name + service keyword combos).

Until now, the few backlinks I have all point to the homepage to build general DR.

Now I have the opportunity to secure a single very strong link from a niche-relevant publisher: real traffic, permanent placement, by far the strongest link I'd be adding to my profile.

I'm torn between two options:

Option A: Homepage — safer, builds DR broadly, equity distributes via internal linking.

Option B: My strongest city page — currently ranks position ~11-12 for "[service] freelancer [city]". Search volume moderate (~100/mo) but high commercial intent. Feels like the sweet spot for a single strong link to push into top 5. I also already rank position 3-4 for my own city with "[service] freelancer [my own city]", but search volume there is even lower. I guess too low to justify putting the strongest link there.

For context: the cornerstone page for my biggest keyword (~880/mo searches) ranks beyond position 50 — too far for a single link to matter. My second-best city page ranks position 3-4 already, but volume is too low to justify putting the strongest link there.

What would you do in my position?

Thanks!
