Stretching d width to ee

For people who have normal width heels, I'd advise to get d width instead of ee in classic mocs. It's actually blessing in disguise.

When they make ee width in same last .. they actually make the boots longer. So if you are brannock 9, the size 8.5d or 8ee would be same length. But 8ee is still a bigger overall boot than 8.5d. it has high instep, bigger girth and wider heels which would most definitely give you blisters unless you spend extra to get insoles which would kill the purpose of getting wider boots because they eat up your width as well.

In these images.. the before picture is of two 8.5d classic mocs. The left one is fully broken in and the right one is new out of the box. You can see how narrow it is.

But in after picture, I've successfully used the boot stretcher purchased from Walmart for $20 to get the toe box a ee width. This gives me nice snug heel for my regular size heels and gives perfect fit for ee width toes.

Many people think full size down from brannock is the correct choice, which is half truth and half wrong. Full size down but ee width... In d width only half size down is the correct answer.

Hope this helps and ends the debate.

Custom dyed classic moc 8833 | golden yellow - brown

Okay, so the dye job is done. I basically wanted something like grant stone baroda boot butterrum and truman coyote roughout moc toe. Grant stone had lug sole which I hated for being stiff for long walks and truman boots are unnecessarily heavy as fuck... On top you have to deal with sizing issues and restocking fees facing infamous Vince, the owner. I found these in factory 2nds from Berkeley supply $186 shipped, great people I've been purchasing from since a while. So took on the project and here's the result. I hope you guys like it.

This project opened a door for me to custom dye any roughout boots I like. The dye only costs around 8 dollars shipped. And 2 dollars for the brush.

The last photo is how the boots were looking before.

Beware of this Seller on eBay!

This guy has been purchasing b grade boots from Grant Stone and other brands for cheaper price and has been selling on eBay for full price. I saw this exact boot several days ago in the same size in b grade and now this guy is selling it. I checked other boots from his list as well. Same thing. Most of the people won't know the difference and would pay the full price. There are plenty of other people doing that and due to this genuine sellers who wanna sell their used boots are struggling.

Modifying Classic Moc 8833 | Work in Progress

As I promised in my last post, here I'm sharing the work in progress photos of my new classic mocs. I wanted rugged poppy yellow color and wanted something unique that no one has, I applied the yellow Angelus leather suede dye with a pinch of dark brown to the boots. Kept the tongue to the same abeline tan color, which gives nice contrast.

What do you guys think Abt the color so far?

Lightest African Rangers - Custom Built - Suggestion for Jim Green

Received these yesterday. This built is specifically designed for people who do not work in the construction industry. These are made for people who walk a lot (12k to 14k steps daily I walk) and use them on both pavement and gravel.

I reduced and cut down in weight as much as possible with the custom built option.

- poly woven midsole

- fiber glass shank

- single lined leather

- structured plain toe ( no cap toe to add extra layer of leather)

- oriongo wedge outsole for best cushion possible

- these come with leather insoles.

Result: only 650 grams each boot making only 2.8 pounds for the pair of size 9!

Why these are better than hokas and new balance for long walks:

- roomy for wide feet

- firm enough built for walking stride and giving knees least amount of work to keep you balanced. Hokas and new balance and other sneakers have too much cushion with wobble effect which eventually harm your knees making them work harder to gain balance.

- multiple times resoleable

- good for both dressy events and hiking in parks and trails.

- perfect for all day staying in feet

Suggestion for Jim Green: I've lately realized JG is following the boot nerd trend started by pimps like Rose Anvil and others who downvotes anything that doesn't have heavy lug soles or leather mid soles. After all the most important part is not the boots.. it's your knees and your body.

I'd advise you to please start a new series which strips down unnecessary materials and are good for people who simply use boots for fashion and all day staying in feet.

Floyd last sizing

I'm brannock 9ee with LOW INSTEP. Floyd last suggests going full size down from brannock. So length in Floyd last should be 8. Now based on their chart 8d length = 7.5e length = 7eee length. So I'm thinking to get 7eee boot.

In these images I've shown 8d Floyd last boot with my foot on the side. The boot is one and a half thumb longer. The heel to ball if we measure.. it's okay... Even after getting a full size down it's longer than I want.

So based on the chart they've suggested I'm trying out 7eee boot.

Does anyone else with ee width and low instep have similar experience? High and normal instep will be totally irrelevant here.

TEST for Red Wings Fan Boys

In this image the right boot is classic moc 8800 in size 8.5D. and the left boot is classic moc 875. What size the left boot is? Let me see how good you know your favorite boots. I'll share the correct answer after I get a couple of responses.

Sizing nightmare for red wing boots

Size 8ee 875 is longer than size 8.5d 875

Size 8.5d 8800 Is shorter than size 8.5d 875

Size 8.5d 877 is longer than size 8.5d 875

Size 8.5d weekender chukka is longer than size 8.5d 875.

This is what I double checked in red wing store today.

The store managers wouldn't believe it and I had to show it to them. They were scratching their heads.

This is insane. This makes purchasing red wing boots online a complete gamble. No wonder people are spending thousands of dollars simply trying to get perfect fit for months.

This company seems to have few buyers purchasing many boots just to get the size right. No wonder they spend huge amount of money marketing their products with YouTubers and ads in other places.

I've purchased, returned and sold boots at least 10+ times to get perfect fit and failed at it. I'm DONE.

[WTS] Custom Jim Green African Ranger (Brown) | Size 10 US | Painted Midsole | $137.20 (Ready to be shipped within 12 hrs!)

Hey everyone,

Continuing to streamline my boot rotation. I am parting ways with my Brown African Rangers (Size 10 US). If you've checked the Jim Green site recently, you'll know that size 10 is currently completely sold out in this colorway.

Shipping: I am ready to be shipped within 12 hours once purchased!

I’ve worn these for about 6 to 8 months. I kept the leather completely raw—zero oils, creams, or conditioners have been applied, so they are a blank canvas for the next owner. The boots still have their original Jim Green wedge soles, which are in decent shape with plenty of life left in them.

The Customization: I custom-painted the midsole edge with a desert sand-colored acrylic to give them a unique, refined look that stands out from the stock version.

Reason for selling: Just thinning out the collection!

Price: Listed at $137.20 firm (this covers the total on Vinted).

To keep the transaction secure and easy for both of us, I have listed these on Vinted. You can view the photos, check my seller feedback, and purchase them directly through the link below:

[WTS] Custom Walnut Veg Tan Jim Green Numzaan | Size 10.5 US | Vibram Resole | $251 (Ready to be shipped within 12 hrs!)

Hey everyone,

I’m currently streamlining my boot rotation, so I am parting ways with my Walnut Veg Tan Numzaans (Size 10.5, ASHM last).

Shipping: I am ready to be shipped within 12 hours once purchased!

I’ve worn them for about 6 to 8 months, but I kept the leather completely raw—zero oils, creams, or conditioners. They have minimal patina and are essentially a blank canvas for the next owner to break in.

The Customization & Value: I just had them freshly resoled with a Vibram 2021 wedge. I didn't swap the soles due to wear; I specifically upgraded them for a lighter weight and maximum all-day comfort on my feet. This sole swap shaved a full pound off the boots (dropping them from 4.8 lbs to 3.8 lbs), making them highly versatile and lightweight enough to wear comfortably all day long. Additionally, I custom-painted the midsole edge with a sand-colored acrylic to tie the whole aesthetic together.

Considering a stock pair retails for $234 and a premium Vibram resole runs $80–$120, you are getting a turnkey custom boot without the cobbler wait times.

Reason for selling: Just thinning out the collection!

Price: Listed at $251 firm (this covers the total on Vinted).

To keep the transaction secure and easy for both of us, I have listed these on Vinted. You can view the photos, check my seller feedback, and purchase them directly through the link below:

[WTS] Rare Natural Veg Tan Jim Green Numzaan | Size 10.5 US (ASHM) | Custom Vibram Resole | $263 (Ready to ship under 12 hrs)

Hey everyone,

I’m currently streamlining my boot rotation, so I am parting ways with my Natural Veg Tan Numzaans (Size 10.5, ASHM last). As you likely know, this specific veg-tan makeup is completely wiped out online and very hard to track down.

I’ve worn them for about 6 to 8 months, but I kept the leather completely raw—zero oils, creams, or conditioners. They have minimal patina and are essentially a blank canvas for the next owner.

The Customization: I just had them freshly resoled with a Vibram 2021 wedge.
