Being Watched Like A Hawk
I have this coworker who is also a mentor. A couple months ago he made it where I can no longer use the bathroom during my shift. Apparently I abused my bathroom privileges. He told me that the law against banning me from the bathroom doesn’t apply to my case. I use it anyway but I now time myself and make sure I’m out in under four minutes now. And I now wait until the last of my shift.
Today, I have two minutes left of my shift. My locker is in the break room. I go in there and decide to sit for the last two minutes. This same coworker comes in and sees me and says, “taking a break again?” I told him that I had a couple minutes left of my shift and that I just decided to sit down for those two minutes. And the only other “break” I had was lunch.
This guy is just looking for something. I knew he didn’t like me but I had no idea he would be like this towards me.
I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to quit. Nobody else will hire me.
But it feels like this guy is looking for a reason to get me fired.
