Gates Scholarship: Activities Section Inquiry

Hi! I’m currently a student in the Class of 2027, and I’m applying for the Gates Scholarship. I’m really excited to complete the application.

In the activities section, should we write multiple sentences, or is it sufficient to simply list the awards or distinctions that I or our club/activity has received?

Gates Scholarship: DE Inquiry

Hi! I'm a current CO '27 student, and I'm applying for the Gates Scholarship. I’m really excited to complete the application.

For the dual enrollment section, should I include the courses I am currently taking (4 courses), or only the courses I have already completed and received grades for (2 courses)?

GPA Questions

Hii fellow Scholars! I am currently applying and working on the academic profile section. They require us to submit our current cumulative GPA, but I am unsure whether to provide my weighted or unweighted GPA.

My weighted GPA is 4.33 on a 5.0 scale, while my unweighted GPA is ~3.9 on a 4.0 scale. Which one do you think reflects more academic rigor and distinction?

Skincare recs for beginner?

Hi! I am trying to clear up my skin from hyperpigmentation. I currently have acne-prone, sensitive skin. As of right now, I am trying to rebuild my skin barrier and then find a way to slowly remove the dark spots. Please let me know if these products are good for a skincare routine. Anything I should add? Thank you!!

Hyperpigmentation Products

Hii! I am currently suffering with the dark spots of hyperpigmentation. I have not tried many products, so I believe that is why it is worsening. I have searched on Tiktok and choose some of the most recommended products for my future skincare routine.

BTW: I have dry and sensitive skin.

Do you guys think these products will remove my dark spots? What products have you tried that worked? Anything I should remove from my list? How should my skincare routine look with these products?

Hyperpigmentation Tips?

Hii! As the title suggests, I’m looking for ways or remedies to improve the hyperpigmentation on my face! I’ve tried many things, but nothing has worked for me.

I have dry and sensitive skin and a lot of dark spots now. I have tried Good Molecules Discoloration Serum, Anua Heartleaf Cleansing Foam, & Numbuzin No.5 Concentrated Serum. These either didn't work or irritated my skin.

Any thought on how to fix it? Below, I have listed some that are popular on TikTok. Please let me know if you tried these and your results before I spend my money 😭😭!!

Hyperpigmentation Remedies

Hii! As the title suggests, I’m looking for ways or remedies to improve the hyperpigmentation on my face! I’ve tried many things, but nothing has worked for me.

For context, I've never had “bad“ skin for most of my childhood and middle school days, but once I entered high school, it worsened during puberty. I have dry and sensitive skin and a lot of dark spots now.

Are there any products you guys recommend? Below, I have listed some that are popular on TikTok. Please let me know if you tried these and your results before I spend my money 😭😭!!

Best 2026 colleges majors?

hiii! I'm a rising senior from Georgia, and I’m still confused about what I want to major in. I'm strongly considering environmental engineering or public policy because I love environmental science and aim for a career focused on advocacy work.

I've heard some people recommend majoring in civil engineering instead of environmental engineering, but I’m not confident that I would thrive academically in civil engineering compared to environmental. Regarding public policy, I’m concerned about the entry-level salary.

What other majors should I consider in this current administration that offer job security and high salaries? Additionally, if you think I should pursue one of these majors, which colleges would you recommend? Thank you! <33

Advice 4 Senior Scholarships

hii everyone! I'm a stressed-out upcoming senior (class of 2027), and I have been focusing on finding scholarships. Most of the popular scholarships, like Gates, QuestBridge, and Coca-Cola, are not currently open for applications, but are upcoming. I would love to hear from any past recipients of senior scholarships. Do you have any advice on how to present your best self in these essays? Additionally, if you could share any sample questions or similar questions that you encountered during your application process. thanks so much 😺!!
