Rant about La Madrastra (2005)

I'm 38 episodes in and I want to quit, this show is so repetitive and the plot keeps going in circles and nothing ever gets resolved nor any secrets revealed. First off... the fact that ADULT children refuse to allow their father to marry again after 20 years... come on lol. Secondly... Carlos is the worst villain ever, I like villains but he is so incredibly stupid. Yeah, physically abusing the girl you want to marry and making her think that you raped her (?) will definitely make her want to marry you... huh?? Does he think now that they've "slept together", she'll have no choice but to accept his proposal? Thirdly, Pulpo stop running away from the private investigator, for the love of god!! I just want to see him rich and happy, good lord it's so annoying.

My biggest issue though is that the whole premise of the show is flawed. It would be so much easier for everyone if Maria just straight up told the truth from the start. Express to them that she was falsely accused and is not a murderer and that she's going to find the real killer. They may or may not believe her at first, but her emotions are so genuine and she's so full of determination I think they would eventually come around and stand by her, even Lionel. Instead we get this complicated web of lies that just makes everyone increasingly more and more confused and angry. Like how is marrying their father and forcing her way into their home supposed to make them love her? Obviously they're just gonna hate her even more, and continue hating her until the truth is revealed. It makes zero sense.

Can we get new challenges please? For the upcoming UK & US seasons

The worst part of The Traitors, particularly if you watch multiple versions, is having to sit through the same boring competitions repeated over and over again. They were boring the first time I saw them, and they're ESPECIALLY boring after three or four iterations of the exact same thing. I usually zone out and/or reach for my phone during these.

Canada 3 had brand new innovative challenges, and NZ1 had such a low budget that their competitions were more like dinner party games, which actually made them more fun to watch. (haven't seen NZ2 yet but it's next on my watch list).

I'm really hoping the next UK & US seasons bring us something different... and I hope they're inspired by Canada 3 to spice it up a bit and add more unique twists.

Neutrogena Body Oil Light Sesame

I'd like to try out a body oil for the first time, I'm wondering if the scent of this one is neutral enough it can be paired with most perfumes?

I'm one of those people who is overly sensitive to amberwood and all (or most) of the amber/woody type aromachemicals.

So this morning I randomly sprayed BBW Vanilla Romance on my wrist just to remember what it smelled like. I blind bought this a long time ago but have never really used it because it has a prominent amberwood note that takes over the whole thing and makes it unpleasant.

Mmm... smells good. Waiting... waiting... um. Where is it? Where's the amberwood?! It's nowhere to be found. I just smell vanilla and cardamom and nothing else.

I dug through my samples and found two that had bothered me before. Moschino Toy 2 and Hermes Un Jardin Sur La Lagune.

Both of them smell totally fine. No amberwood to be found whatsoever. In fact I'm actually starting to appreciate Toy 2 a lot more now that the amberwood "stabby" effect is gone. (Sur la Lagune is still gross but that's just because I don't like marine scents lol)

Finally, I tested Commodity Milk. I don't know what aromachemicals are used in this but it's always been a MESS to my nose. Horrific. Now... I wouldn't say it smells amazing, but the harshness of it is mostly gone. Wow!

I wish I had more perfumes to test this with, but I recently threw away all the heavy amberwood bombs like Instant Crush and Khamrah. I'm wishing I'd kept them now!

I've been into fragrances for 2-3 years and my amberwood aversion has been an issue the WHOLE time. But now I feel like I'm suddenly smelling fragrances like everyone else does lol. It's nice but I have no idea how long it'll last or what caused it. Has this happened to anyone else? Not just with amberwood but with anything?
