Hey everyone,
I’m planning to upgrade my one-bedroom apartment and I’m a bit torn on the direction.
Instead of going with the usual modern/neutral or boho-style interiors (light tones, wooden flooring, safe finishes), I’m actually considering doing something more 80s-inspired / retro vibe — a bit bold, unique, and different from the typical apartments you see.
My question is mainly from a rental perspective:
Would a retro/80s-themed apartment attract tenants, or does it limit the pool?
Do most renters prefer a safe, neutral/boho look instead?
Has anyone here tried something “different” and how did it perform in terms of renting speed and tenant interest?
I’m okay with standing out, but not if it significantly delays renting it out.
Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences 🙌
