Trying to find a Redditor who helped save my friend's life

This might sound a little crazy, but I genuinely want to find a Redditor named u/mairaandi (or at least find a way to pass on a thankyou).

A little backstory:

I recently met one of my male friends after a long time. We’ve known each other for around 6 years, and while catching up, he told me something that honestly shocked me.

He said that about a year ago, when he was in an extremely dark place and had attempted suicide before, there was a guy he connected on reddit who helped him through it. According to my friend, if it wasn’t for that passionate guy from Reddit, he doesn’t think he would be here today.

This stranger apparently talked to him, helped him clear his head, changed the way he looked at things, and supported him when he really needed someone.

My friend eventually recovered and deleted his Reddit account. He tried reaching out to this person again from a new account, but it seems the request wasn't accepted. So he never really got the chance to properly say thank you.

He spent almost an hour (😒😒😒)telling me about this person how he thinks, the things he said, and how he somehow managed to get through to him when even people close to him couldn't.

And I'll be honest, I was angry and intrigued at the same time.😏😏😏 😂

I've known this guy for six years and tried so many times to help him change his perspective. Then some random Reddit stranger comes along and apparently does it in a way I couldn't. My ego was like: "Okay, who the hell is this guy and what did he say to you?" 💀💀💀💀 Waatha

So yes... I stalked his old Reddit activity a little. 😂 Yess guilty as charged. Account private la irku. 😏😏😏 But found some pieces of info through my stalking skills. Ponnu da naanu porakkum pothey cid seena thaana naanga (sorry)

From what I could find, u/mairaandi seemed to be into perfumes, music, and writing. From some of his comments, it also seems like he has been through quite a lot himself. I even came across a comment where he mentioned having a daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!🤕🤕🤕🤕

which honestly made me stop for a moment.

It looks like he was active on Reddit around a year ago and may have had a separate Discord server/group with some Reddit friends. My friend remembers him being connected with people from Reddit and possibly meeting some of them IRL.

I'd honestly love to know him and know what he looks like, meet him someday if he's comfortable, and just become friends with him. More than anything, I want to personally tell him what he did for my friend

I’m not looking for his private information, address, phone number, (kudutha nallarkum ngl). I dmed him but no reply.

I just genuinely want to find his public account or someone who knows him so I can pass along one simple message:

"You probably don't know this, but you helped save someone's life. He's doing much better now. He never got the chance to thank you."

I really hope this somehow reaches you. ❤️

TL;DR: My friend was suicidal and received DMs from Redditor u/mairaaandi, who apparently helped him turn his life around and may have literally saved his life. My friend later deleted his Reddit account before he could properly thank him. I became curious, looked through Mairaandi's public posts, and now genuinely want to find him, know what he looks like, meet him if he's comfortable, and hopefully become friends. I just want to thank the guy who helped my friend when he needed it most. ❤️
