I left the US more than 3 years ago. However, Synchrony Bank somehow created a fake account under my name. It is already closed, but there is a debt under my reports that needs to be disputed. Have any of you got the reports from overseas? The Annual Credit Report website asks for a US phone number to text a code, which is the hardest part for me. However, with a virtual phone service and a VPN, it might work. But, I'd like to know from others if they had this experience before paying for a good VPN that can be blocked by anualcreditreport.com
