I swear landless pirates are causing performance issues for me, but I can't find a way to get rid of them.

In my experience the roadblocks, and hell even just losing is so fun, because it almost always creates an interesting story for you to interact with, and honestly I find that it actually makes me care about the NPCs more often. But for example whenever I end up save scumming I end up just maintaining the status quo which just gets boring after 1 or 2 rulers.
