Heyhey so I know it’s not the same my husband was military for 6 years while we were together and he did deployed for 1 year 3 times during that time. I was still in undergrad.
But now we have lived together for 4 years and he private contracts now and he deploys for 4 months at a time (I know this really isn’t long) but it’s been so much harder now that we have lived together, like I miss him so much more. Anyway hoping to vent/chat/get advice thanks so much 🫶

Hi future friends! I’m looking to have some fun easy chats.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, almost done getting my PhD, like pole dance, and am a huge reader!!!

I would love to get others thoughts and opinions on apolly con this year. I was a volunteer and have my own thoughts and experiences. But I’m curious to learn from others and also to hear from attendees too!!! Tell me any and all thoughts and if you want to dm I’m down for that too!

I got to help a ticketed author and they were so kind so that part was a really great time for me

Honestly I didn’t have a bad time but I didn’t have a great time either. Would I go again if things are the same next year, no.

  1. it’s been frustrating just with how the reservations worked etc (I didn’t get any and infact was in the queue for 1.5 hrs waiting before they were like lol we don’t have anything left which really sucked and was an utter waste of me time in the middle of a work day).

  2. second complaint on resi is that people figured out a hack for author signing reservations cause they were scanning like they should be, and as long as it wasn’t scanned people could leave the line after signing and then reenter or give it to someone else to re-enter. Which really sucked as someone who had to wait in standby lines watching people jump ahead by messing with the system

  3. arc drops were crazy I didn’t even bother trying cause it was so overwhelming and chaotic- I got hella lucky and walking by when someone handed out tickets so I managed to snag one just by chance but it was also given out at like 1 but we got the ticket like 45 mins earlier which meant I kinda had to stay in the area in order to get it

  4. the smaller panels were so poorly advertised I wish I had known about them more cause I would have tried to attend:(

  5. so crowded (even day 2)

Overall I grew up attending Boston comic con ( famously a great con) and this was so bad in comparison.

Happy to answer any questions or if you just want to vent I’m here 🫶✨
