NYC, 2000s. Same function-over-fashion energy.

Not gonna lie, the love on that last post caught me off guard fr.

Same energy, different coast. No mood boards. No brand deals. Just people moving through the city, solving real problems with what they wore.

Function shaped the look, and somehow it ended up cooler than half the stuff trying too hard today.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this style creeps into streetwear over the next few years. Signs are already there.

A bit blurry, but you can still catch that “structure language” in these early 2000s NYC streetwear shots.

It’s not about perfect tailoring. It’s the fabrics, the proportions, the little details. That kind of unintentional design that somehow hits harder than half the stuff out now.

No algorithms. No “fit pics for likes.” Just people moving around the city, looking good without even trying.

Feels like that era had something we lost. Anyone else see it?
