Downtown Bike Parking

I recently attended a show at the Paramount and, though we took a Lyft for reasons, I was a little bit sad that we didn’t ride our e-bikes. Once we got there, though, I noticed that bike parking really isn’t much of a thing around there! I also thought about the battery. Had I found a secure place to lock my bike, not a lot of folks are likely to be too keen on letTing me carry my battery around, and I’m not leaving it attached!
I’m not new to cycling but I am new to the e-bike world. The bike itself opens up lots of possibilities but the idea of having my stuff stolen or fucked with is a strong dissuader.
I know that every mission requires its own strategy which means changing out accessories from ride to ride and such, so I think my question is really more of the “What do I do if I want to ride my e-bike to a show or event downtown?” What have been your experiences hauling your batteries and other accessories into various venues and establishments? Any interesting stories or incidents to share?
RTD and Lyft are likely to remain my go to downtown commute options, especially when I’m with somebody, but the bike is a great alternative, especially for me, as I don’t drive.

E-bikes on Highline Canal Trail in Cherry Hills Village

I heard from a friend today who isn’t deliberately inaccurate but doesn’t always have all of the information that e-bikes are BANNED on the Highline Canal Trail in Cherry Hills Village.
Just last week, a friend (much more reliable) said he had seen a CHV officer on the trail apparently handing out speeding tickets to the deserving.
The week before that I rode on that trail and didn’t encounter anyone other than other riders, none of whom gave any indication hat anything was happening.
Does anyone have any information about what is really happening?

Bike-friendly brunch in SE Denver

Does anyone have any suggestions for bike friendly brunch spots in the southeast part of town? It would be helpful if it wasn’t on a busy thoroughfare, as I’m wanting to go with my wife and she isn’t a very confident rider yet.

I love this time of year!

Yesterday was one of those truly beautiful days, and I also needed to visit my favorite dispensary so I charged up, grabbed water and decided to make an adventure of it!
It’s a bit over 13 miles out and 22-ish miles back home…yes I did some exploring 😉. It was a wonderful ride on a wonderful day and I’m so happy it’s cooling off!

Would you rather try the results of your friends’ first attempt at brewing beer or the results of their first attempt at growing weed?

For the sake of this question, let’s just say that you drink beer and smoke weed regularly. Let’s try to refrain from answers like “I don’t drink so…” or that type of thing please.

They sure don’t make it easy…

I live in SE Denver, in that magical zone that isn’t quite inner city but not quite suburbia either. It has the best - and worst of both worlds!
My complaint is mainly about grocery stores, but it seems to apply equally to a lot of businesses around here, and that is lousy bike facilities! I live pretty close to a King Soopers and not far from Whole Foods and the situation was pretty grim. KS has a bike rack that looks like it came from my elementary school playground back in the 70s! I was reluctant to lock my $50 Huffy to it then, I’m definitely not strapping a $2000 Velotric to it now! Yes, there are other signs and out of the way stuff I could lock to, but for all of that, I live close enough, I just walk.
Whole Foods wasn’t any better, I had To lock to some out of the way railing when I went there… and they’re supposed to represent the more heavily lifestyle.
As people, we do what we must to make it in this world, so it would be helpful if some things were made easier.
