So I am currently a member of this sub and one of the few things that I noticed about this subreddit is that when someone makes a post about (anything really) or expresses their thoughts or opinions on something, over 96% of posts on here get downvote bombed almost immediately after publication and I am wondering on why you think it’s okay to do this. It’s okay to dislike a post or certain topic but it’s not okay to insult or disrespect the person who posted that topic or artwork on here. here is an example I have seen recently on here: an artist (typically beginner) will post on here and their art will get downvoted simply because no one likes it. I feel like we should all be respectful and respecting artists equally on this subreddit and not act immature and downvote bomb them all because you don’t like what they made. I say downvote bomb because when someone downvotes a post, typically others will follow suit for some reason and the post won’t get any upvotes then. And here’s something I also see all the time on here as well. When a person is giving constructive criticism / feedback on a beginner artists artwork, some random person will step in and try to “correct” you on why it’s not okay to give feedback on that particular artist. I remember seeing a beginner artists artwork on here and this one person replied to me (I don’t remember what they said but just know they insulted me for what I said) all because I said to OP that their artwork is not bad but it needs improvement. (Not offensive at all btw). And then another time I did try to address this issue on people downvoting bomb everything they see on here but then I got a comment from someone telling me that “i should leave this place“ and my post got downvote bombed as well, and so I left as I felt hurt by this. I rejoined this subreddit simply because I like deviantart and it’s one of my places on where I post my work.

And I did feel hurt myself when that’s all I did was get attacked by others simply because I told a beginner artist to improve and up their skills and tried defending myself about my post discussing on why people keep downvote bomb me other everyone else they see but they just told me to leave and “get thicker skin”. It’s not the fact that I am emotional (I am not. I am a dude in his early twenties), it’s the fact that I don’t wanna post here anymore because I feel like I’ve been kicked out of this community and everytime I try to bring up something, I just get insulted by someone.

I don’t care if you downvote bomb this to the max as I don’t wanna be here anymore so, feel free to insult me in the comments, people. I will always love deviantart though as a whole, just not this place... It isn’t for me…

So please read this whole post and to the ones who somehow know me on here, please take into consideration that I won’t be here anymore until I see an apology for the ones who disrespected me…

So I haven’t been active in this community for some time now, only commenting on peoples posts on here, and the reason being is because, I have different interests now. I’m not saying I’m leaving this community (I love this community and sub), but what I’m saying is that I not fond of Poppy playtime anymore and I just moved on from the franchise as a whole. I will still continue to like the game as to me, I had fun playing it but, I don’t feel like making fanart or anything related to the game as a whole. Everyone’s tastes change from time to time and it’s important to understand that. I will still continue to be active in this community but I won’t post any content / fanart related to Lily or Poppy playtime that much anymore.

1. I got bored of it and I now make fanart of different characters and different franchises I like

2. I’m not a huge fan of Poppy playtime and if people actually thought that, well, I guess that’s on you

3. The fandom here and on the official subreddit is weird at times. I don’t like it when people take the characters (especially Lily) and ship them in weird ways. What I mean by that is, I will often see comments and posts stating that Lily is their “Wife“ and they are married to them. I find this to just be weird and a bit cringe considering that the OP who wrote that post, doesn’t even know what Lilies personally is. She wouldn’t even kissed you even if you asked as 1. She Doesn‘t like the player in the game, and 2. She might just be weirded out with you if this actually happened. And it’s cringe to say that she’s your wife since it’s not canon to the story either. You simp for these types of characters, you’re weird (I have to say it). I have no problem with people doing what they like but please don’t be too weird on her.

And lastly, 3. I just simply moved on. I like TADC more now then ever and I now make artwork of it. Also, on my YouTube channel, I made numerous of videos about Poppy playtime and I feel like I made enough. Me personally, it feels oversaturated.

And that’s all I have to say, I will continue to support and like the Poppy playtime community, but I won’t make content about it let’s just say. I hope you all understand on why I made this post and don’t try to slander me in the comments. (I won’t respond to anyone who does this)
