Silence

The silence is the worst !

But you always did that

I should be used to it by now

You had so many secrets

Several girl 'friends'

Emotional affairs

But you would never admit to it

I was apparently jealous

But you were the one who didn't trust me with your truth

You're no doubt turning to them now

To get support

To get attention

To pretend that I was the problem

You led me on for so long

When you never really wanted commitment

You wanted to be

free and mysterious

Silence

A low hum

A nothing

A realised truth

I had a vision - advice please

Hello kind friends. I recently had a vision of my current partner standing with a baby in his arms. The vision was strong and my initial reaction was - 'Shit. That's his future and I'm not in it.' Our relationship has been complicated for sometime. We are both early 50s. I've had some health issues and I've been going through hard times. We are both divorced and have children from previous marriages. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't want more children he's even mentioned it and it's not physically possible for me anymore. We're don't live together and we haven't been communicating that much these past few weeks. We do love each other very much and have active independent lives. Since the vision I feel like I should be backing off so that he can move into this new life that I've 'seen'. I haven't told him about the vision. He looked in awe and so happy with his new baby. Help me out folks...

Starting to seriously lose hope.. f48 he m48. ADVICE please

Been with my ldr for 5yrs now.

We get on great and get to meet up once a month. Different states 5hour trip.

I can't say anything bad about him. He's kind generous caring. We're a good sexual match. We have similar kinks and same mindset. We met via mutual friend and we have a lot in common. It's the first time that I've been in a truly healthy relationship.

However... it's been 5yrs and there's still no plans to live together. We're both divorced with children from previous marriages. I get on good with his kids so there's no problem there.

His kids are younger than mine so he's still busy being daddy where as my kids are independent. I've always been the one pushing for a more permanent life together but he seems ok with the situation as it is. I don't want to be in an ldr indefinitely and I'm starting to lose hope that being together will ever happen. It's got to the point that I just don't mention it anymore. And since I don't mention it well neither does he.

We just had another week together. Everything was great as usual.

But I'm sick of just being his part time girlfriend.

Is 5yrs just too long to still be waiting for him to be ready for the big commitment ?

We both started out slow and casual because of being divorced. But I'm wondering if he's gotten so used to the part time situation that he doesn't want anything more.

I don't want to walk away from this. But I'm truly heartbroken when we part. The constant rollercoaster is affecting me mentally and I'm starting to feel used. Like he's only in it for fun times not a true commitment.

Whenever I do mention it he says he feels the same. But it's just words since no plans are being made.

Help me out guys..

Rant about how much I miss my hair ! Any advice ?

Leiomyosarcoma. Just finished 6 months of chemotherapy.

My hair was long thick and dark. I'm 52 years old and my hair was a distinct visual characteristic. It didn't fall out straight away infact I survived the first few months with shedding hair but still I could manage to look normal. All the doctors and medical staff commented on how they were amazed that I still had hair. But eventually it started falling out

.. I got it cut into a short bob which looked kinda cute. And then of course it mostly all fell out. It was spring so I could still wear hats and I tried to look as normal as possible. When it eventually was all gone I went for the wig option. I just couldn't do the chemo bonnet thing I didn't want to look 'sick'. It's now been a couple of months since they stopped the heavy chemo. I still have to continue another treatment but my hair is starting to grow back. I don't like the short hair look on me. I hate it so much ! I'm trying to grasp the ego. But it's just so painful to not have my hair anymore. I don't know who I am without it. I know everyone says it's just hair and it will grow back but help me out please ! Anyone else felt the loss so deeply. How do you get your confidence back ? What to say to people who don't get it. It's affecting me so much that I hardly go out anymore. I don't want to bump into people I know. The wigs look OK but with the summer heat it's just horrible and sweaty. Any advice on how to stay sane.
