Need help with my computer driver crashes

I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 760 to an AMD RX Vega 56, and ever since the upgrade I’ve been constantly dealing with AMD driver timeout issues. In most cases, I have to fully restart my PC just to get games working again.

I’ve already tried doing a complete system wipe and fresh install of Windows, but the problem still persists. I also tested both AMD’s automatic underclocking options and manual underclocks, but neither fixed the crashes or driver timeouts.

Power shouldn’t be the issue either — AMD recommends a 650W PSU for the Vega 56, and I’m using an 850W power supply.

My current specs are:

  • Intel Core i5-4670K
  • AMD RX Vega 56
  • 24GB DDR3 RAM
  • 850W PSU
  • 1TB M.2 SSD
  • 2TB HDD

At this point I’m trying to figure out what’s actually causing the driver timeouts and crashes.
