What I THINK the lyrics to the Frozen 3 version of Frozen Heart are.

Idina and Kristin sang a new version of Frozen Heart at D23. I tried my best to figure out what the new lyrics were this is what I came up with. Keep in mind that some of it was unintelligible since I was working off of recordings and this is just a guess.

Born of cold and winter air
And mountain rain combining
This icy force both foul and fair
Has a frozen heart worth mining

So cut through the heart, cold and clear
Strike for love and strike for fear
See the beauty, sharp and sheer
Split the ice apart
And break the frozen heart

[New lyrics]

Cursed, could a heart be changed
By seeing and divining
She sent an invitation from
The northern lights so shining
She comes for a heart warm and clear
Weakened by all we hold so dear
Now it’s time and she draws near
Need a counterpart
The cursed frozen heart

I watched the classic series for the first time!

A while ago I made posts about watching seasons 1 and 2 for the first time. I was going to keep going but I decided It would be easier to just watch all of it and make a big post at the end.

All in all, I really enjoyed these seasons. I’m glad I finally got around to watching them all. Here’s my ranking of all of the classic seasons (keep  in mind that I only watched these seasons once and it’s just my opinion so don’t get mad):

  1. Season 1 - Definitely my favorite. It felt exactly like what I expected classic Thomas to feel like. All the stories build on each other while still working as solid self-contained episodes, and there isn’t a single episode in the season I didn’t enjoy.
  2. Season 2 - Almost as good as Season 1, even though a few things held it back for me. There are some noticeable continuity issues in this season that tripped me up as someone who never read the books, and some of the episodes were just alright; not bad, just not as good as the rest. Still a really strong season just not my favorite,
  3. Season 5 - Very gripping and entertaining. There were episodes of this season where I was genuinely fully invested and worried about what would happen. There were quite a few duds this season but the highs are so high they cancel them out.
  4. Season 4 - The first half of this season is INCREDIBLE. Genuinely some of the best episodes of the entire show, and the peak of the model series visually. But I kinda checked out with the second half. It felt like two disconnected shows and some of the later stories were just plain out uninteresting for me.
  5. Season 3 - I feel about the same way about this season as Season 4. There are some phenomenal episodes and everything looks spectacular. But there are some genuine duds in this season that I just weren’t connecting with.
  6. Season 7 - A really nice season. I love all of the new characters from this season, especially Emily who is probably my favorite TV series only character. There’s definitely some duds in this season, especially with the narrow gauge characters that hold it back from being as great as season 1-5, but it’s not at all bad and I really liked it.
  7. Season 6 - Definitely my least favorite classic season. There’s no truly great episodes in this season on the level as the great episodes from Season 1-5 or even the best episodes in 7. There are some good and memorable episodes, just none that I personally really like. This is also the worst looking classic season imo. Why is everything so drab?

Here are my top 12 episodes from these seasons (I couldn’t get it down to just 10). I’m too tired to explain all my choices so uuuh… use your imagination?

  1. Toby and the Flood
  2. Granpuff + Sleeping Beauty
  3. Four Little Engines
  4. Percy Takes the Plunge
  5. Saved from Scrap
  6. Escape
  7. Whistles and Sneezes
  8. A Close Shave
  9. Ghost Train
  10. Thomas and Gordon
  11. Thomas Goes Fishing
  12. Buzz Buzz

My favorite character was definitely Percy. He was the character I enjoyed watching the most every season, and I connected the most with him. I like Edward too but after season 2 or 3 he kinda just… disappears? I ended up forgetting about him for a while until he’d randomly pop up for an episode or two. I like Thomas but I feel like after a certain point he became kinda boring? I understand that he grew and developed over time but at some point he started feeling too nice.

Overall, I really enjoyed these seasons! I liked some more than others but they were all good and I liked watching all of them.

I watched Season 2 for the first time!

You might’ve seen my post a few days ago about watching Season 1 for the first time. I watched Season 2 the next day and completely forgot to post about it.

Anyway, I really liked Season 2! I have a bit of nostalgia for it since the only classic series DVD I had as a kid was Percy Takes the Plunge which is mostly Season 2 episodes.

I really liked how much this season evolved from Season 1. There were a lot more characters and locations this time. I also liked how much the cinematography improved. Also I’m not sure if it actually is, but it feels like the actual restoration of the episodes was better than it was in Season 1. The colors and everything looked great.

I also really liked a lot of the episodes in this season. My favorites were Saved from Scrap, Old Iron, Percy and Harold, A Close Shave, Thomas Comes to Breakfast, Daisy, and Ghost Train. This Season did have a couple episodes I liked less. Better Late Than Never was kinda forgettable and Percy and the Signal felt like a nothing burger. They’re still good, just not super memorable to me.

My favorite characters were once again Percy and Edward. I like Thomas but I feel like his episodes weren't that interesting this season (except for Thomas Comes to Breakfast). I really liked pretty much all of the new characters this season, especially Duck, Donald, and Douglas. Also, maybe I’m just stupid, but Donald and Douglas's introduction was kinda confusing to me. I’m pretty sure there is a behind the scenes reason for that but I don’t remember what it is right now.

Overall, I really enjoyed Season 2! Right now I think I like Season 1 just a bit better, but my opinion could change anytime.

Is the reboot set in the modern day instead of the 50/60s?

Judging by the more drastic redesigns like Bertie and Harold it looks like they've been redesigned to look more like modern buses and helicopters.

I watched Season 1 for the first time!

I grew up during the Brenner era and those were the main episodes I watched, so even though I’ve been around the community for a while I’ve never watched the classic series. I finally decided to watch Season 1 and I figured I’d share my thoughts.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good! The episodes were way shorter than I was expecting them to be but I kinda liked that. It makes them feel like little stories, which works considering that all the stories are book adaptations.

My favorite characters were probably Percy and Edward. I connected the most with them. Thomas was also great in this season

My favorite episodes were Thomas and Gordon, Thomas Goes Fishing, Trouble in the Shed, Whistles and Sneezes, and Dirty Objects. I was surprised by how much continuity there was between episodes but it makes sense considering they’re all based off of Railway Series books.

Overall I really enjoyed Season 1. I liked George Carlin’s narration a lot, and I liked the chill storybook feel of the episodes and how all of the episodes built off of each other. I’m really excited to watch Season 2.

Some concept art of Anya!

Most of these were drawn by Don Bluth, although I couldn't find much info on who drew each of specifically. These are pretty cool! It seams like they got the general gist of what they wanted her to look like pretty early on. There's a LOT more art out there but this is all that I could fit a a Reddit post.

Why is this on Mariah's Spotify profile?

The cover art is AI generated and the song is too I think. Is this a mistake? Why hasn't it been removed. I can find no information about it anywhere

I finally watched Bartok the Magnificent

I'm doing a marathon where I watch all of Don Bluth's films, so I ended up getting around to finally watching this. Maybe it's because I watched this right after Anastasia but I found it so boring. Everything up until it's revealed that >!Ludmilla is the one that kidnapped Ivan!< was very tedious in my opinion. I knew that this was a spin off but I was surprised by how little this movie has to do with Anastasia. If you replaced Bartok with a new character this would be a completely original movie. Maybe I would've liked it more if it hadn't been presented as an Anastasia spinoff since I love Anastasia so much. Overall it's a mostly mediocre straight-to-video movie with some good moments and characters, but as an Anastasia spinoff it's completely unnecessary.

I just noticed that Anastasia is the only character with a reflection in Once Upon a December

I love the little details in this movie, it's so clear how much effort was put into it.

[TOMT] [YOUTUBER] Stop motion animation story time Youtuber. One of his videos was about him stabbing his foot with a shovel and another was about him skiing.

The Youtuber Let Me Explain Studios gave him a shoutout at the end of one of her videos.

Why is the Anastasia soundtrack not on streaming?

I really wish it was on streaming. I'm not really sure why it isn't considering select songs from it are on streaming under different albums and the Original Broadway Cast Recording is on streaming. Oh well, it's on streaming in my dreams

Don't Forget About Us is her most underrated #1!

I love it so much! It's like We Belong Together's older cousin. I pretty much never see anyone talking about it though, not even lambs. Same goes for all of The Emancipation of Mimi bonus tracks.

What album should I listen to next?

Hi! I’m a newer fan and I’ve been working through Mariah’s albums (in no particular order). I’m not sure which album to listen to next, so I figured I would ask Reddit. So far this is my ranking:

  1. The Emancipation of Mimi
  2. Butterfly
  3. Here For It All
  4. Mariah Carey
  5. Daydream
  6. Caution
  7. Music Box
