Hi everyone, I got a baby Brazilian black tarantula around 2 months back and it recently had its first molt. This might seem like a silly question since it’s so young but is it possible to tell the gender so soon?
Okay so I might sound really stupid here but I’m just looking for some answers as this has given me actual goosebumps. Today me and my friend had a very strange day just to summarise it. During the night around 12 pm we decided to drive up to some moors and parked up there for a while. The sky was completely clear like no clouds in sight and we could see every star, keep this in mind. Suddenly out of nowhere two circular, orange, street light coloured lights appear in the sky. My vision isn’t the best so don’t quote me on this but as it got closer I could make out almost a diamond shape in the sky with two bright orange lights on each end of the diamond. It was moving quite fast, faster than a satellite and fucking vanished out of nowhere, as I said, NO CLOUDS. the lights didn’t immediately turn off but it was almost as if it just faded out and vanished. Bear in mind, this UFO was completely silent. I’ve searched up what flying vehicles have two orange lights on either side and is completely silent but nothing is coming up. Unfortunately I didn’t capture a photo because at first we were just extremely confused as to what it could be and it all happened quite fast. What could this be???
My 6 month old staffy cross American bulldog has started nipping and biting excessively and is extremely ignorant he has also started showing food aggressive behaviour but only towards other dogs and when it happens it is extremely nasty and when we try seperate him he starts to turn and attack us, and the bites HURT. He has set feeding times, when he reacts we seperate him from the other dog and try to calm him down etc but nothing seems to be working, am I doing something wrong with him? I am extremely worried as I don’t want this to escalate and have to lose him one day. I cannot afford professional help but I am doing as much research as possible. I hope this is reversible. What is the best way I could his food aggression and greediness? How do I stop him from being so ignorant? He only listens when there is food involved.
Hello, I am a new tarantula owner, I received my Brazilian black spiderling today along with a starter kit, when I placed my order I was told I would be receiving an adult but I did not.
I have many concerns, what should I feed her? I was obviously planning on feeding crickets but she is far too small, I am also concerned about the size of her enclosure. Will she escape through the vents, how am I supposed to feed her without prey getting lost etc, will she drown in her water bowl???
Maybe I am overthinking but I would just like a bit of advice and reassurance as this is a new thing for me. I have done plenty of research on adult spiders but I don’t know very much about spiderlings. You can see her in the second photo if you look very closely.
